The Dominion of Alatoma is a huge, efficient nation, renowned for its compulsory military service, restrictive gun laws, and complete absence of social welfare. The hard-nosed, hard-working, devout population of 430 million Alatomians are highly moralistic and fiercely conservative, in the sense that they tend to believe most things should be outlawed. People who have good jobs and work quietly at them are lauded; others are viewed with suspicion.

The relatively small, moralistic government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Administration, and Spirituality. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Kolmainsus. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 12.7%.

The powerhouse Alatoman economy, worth 40.1 trillion Dollars a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Retail industry, with significant contributions from Woodchip Exports, Basket Weaving, and Automobile Manufacturing. Average income is 93,304 Dollars, with the richest citizens earning 5.7 times as much as the poorest.

It's not mass murder when the government does it, the only record being broken at sporting events is the highest death toll, foreign visitors who show an interest in Alatoman politics are immediately deported, and books are considered luxuries only available to the incredibly wealthy. Crime, especially youth-related, is almost non-existent, despite the fact that it is difficult to make it through a day without breaking one of the country's many laws. Alatoma's national animal is the Coyote, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation.

Alatoma is ranked 108,098th in the world and 9th in This Game for Highest Economic Output, with 40.1 trillion Standard Monetary Units.
