The Empire of Greliser is a titanic, genial nation, ruled by SMI Alessia I de Greliser with an even hand, and renowned for its infamous sell-swords, keen interest in outer space, and punitive income tax rates. The compassionate, devout population of 14.706 billion Greliserians have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The enormous government juggles the competing demands of Healthcare, Education, and Administration. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Atena. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 84.8%.

The frighteningly efficient Greliserian economy, worth a remarkable 1,677 trillion Solar greliserianoes a year, is quite specialized and led by the Information Technology industry, with major contributions from Tourism, Book Publishing, and Arms Manufacturing. State-owned companies are common. Average income is an impressive 114,056 Solar greliserianoes, with the richest citizens earning 6.6 times as much as the poorest.

All work and no play makes SMI Alessia I de Greliser a dull boy, visiting dignitaries often end up cuddling in the hot tub with SMI Alessia I de Greliser, it can be a real jungle in a modern courtroom, and the government is funding experimental battery technology while the power grid continues to crumble. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Greliser's national animal is the Eagle, which soars majestically through the nation's famously clear skies, and its national religion is Cristianismo Ortodoxo.

Greliser is ranked 5,999^th in the world and 2^nd in Gaia Aeterna for Most Extensive Public Healthcare, scoring 8,917.65 on the Theresa-Nightingale Rating.
