The Republic of Galliena is a mammoth, safe nation, ruled by President André-Maximilien Vernet with an even hand, and notable for its irreverence towards religion. The hard-nosed population of 7.731 billion Gallienans enjoy extensive civil rights and enjoy a level of social equality free from the usual accompanying government corruption.

The medium-sized, liberal, socially-minded government juggles the competing demands of Education, Law & Order, and Healthcare. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Lutetia. The average income tax rate is 23.9%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The large but underdeveloped Gallienan economy, worth 213 trillion Francs a year, is led by the Gambling industry, with major contributions from Woodchip Exports, Furniture Restoration, and Door-to-door Insurance Sales. Black market activity is notable. State-owned companies are common. Average income is 27,551 Francs, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Abortions are routinely performed in the nation's hospitals, Galliena has designated Lutetia as its capital city, President André-Maximilien Vernet has just been declared ruler of Galliena in an international press conference, and the government has declined to declare any particular religion as its 'official' one. Crime is almost non-existent, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Galliena's national animal is the Rooster and its national religion is Aristotelic Church.

Galliena is ranked 82,561^st in the world and 2^nd in Trimaris for Nudest, with 175.5 cheeks per square mile.
