The Republic of Jumnia is a massive, safe nation, remarkable for its barren, inhospitable landscape, compulsory military service, and daily referendums. The democratic, devout population of 2.225 billion Jumnians have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The large government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Education, and Welfare. The average income tax rate is 44.6%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The Jumnian economy, worth 103 trillion Gullens a year, is fairly diversified and dominated by the Arms Manufacturing industry, with significant contributions from Uranium Mining, Cheese Exports, and Automobile Manufacturing. State-owned companies are common. Average income is 46,484 Gullens, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Cassocked priests and choirboys believe that what happens behind closed doors stays behind closed doors, the Jumnia Automotive Racing Series draws millions of spectators annually while those near the tracks complain about the noise, the nation's hospitals are criticized for caring more about profits than patients, and museums have more touchscreens on display than artifacts. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Jumnia's national animal is the Raven, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to toxic air pollution.

Jumnia is ranked 234,277th in the world and 20th in Teremara for Largest Publishing Industry, scoring -5.83 on the Bella Potter Productivity e-Index.
