The Republic of Allieu is a mammoth, efficient nation, ruled by Kate Holborow with an even hand, and remarkable for its compulsory military service, hatred of cheese, and complete absence of social welfare. The hard-working, democratic, devout population of 8.658 billion Allieuans are either ruled by a sleek, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

The relatively small, pro-business government is dominated by the Department of Spirituality, with Education and Administration also on the agenda, while Welfare and International Aid aren't funded at all. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Sens. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 8.9%.

The very strong Allieuan economy, worth 375 trillion dollars a year, is led by the Retail industry, with significant contributions from Automobile Manufacturing, Information Technology, and Arms Manufacturing. Average income is 43,273 dollars, but there is a large disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 167,616 per year while the poor average 7,658, a ratio of 21.9 to 1.

A large concrete wall is being built around the country's borders, the police double as repo men, the government response to disaster victims starving for bread is "let them eat stale cake", and the silencing of dissent speaks volumes about the quality of Allieuan democracy. Crime is moderate, with the police force struggling against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Allieu's national animal is the falcon, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to toxic air pollution, and its national religion is Christianity.

Allieu is ranked 224,092^nd in the world and 127^th in Coalition of Crown Albatross for Highest Average Incomes, with 43,273.1 Standard Monetary Units.
