The tiny, corrupt, pro-business government juggles the competing demands of Defence, Law & Order, and Commerce. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Vladikavkaz. Income tax is unheard of. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing, Uranium Mining, and Information Technology industries.

Movies and computer games are strictly censored for violence, protests are prohibited from blocking traffic, funding for education has been redirected into the military, and thieves are flogged in public for their crimes. Crime is a major problem. United Russian State's national animal is the bear, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Orthodox, and its currency is the ruble.
