Its compassionate, intelligent population of 3.067 billion are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Social Welfare, and the Environment. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of The Holy Garden of Serenity. The average income tax rate is 81%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising fourteen-year-old boys selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Students are known to arrive at school in their pyjamas, the upper class have been throwing riots after hunting was recently banned, the judicial system legislates morality, and same-sex marriages are increasingly common. Crime is well under control. Tres Fleures's national animal is the hummingbird, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the bulb.
