It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Port of Royales. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 6%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Information Technology, Book Publishing, and Door-to-door Insurance Sales industries.

The Palmyra Islands has designated Port of Royales as its capital city, meat is a luxury afforded only to the wealthy, citizens who leave the country are officially classed as traitors, and society and government have been organized according to a feudal hierarchy. Crime is well under control, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. The Palmyra Islands's national animal is the Bald Eagle, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Federal Credit.
