The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising fourteen-year-old boys selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Sex offenders find themselves 'cut off' from any ability to repeat their crimes, research into 'designer babies' is banned, students everywhere have been despairing after the recent ban on video games, and welfare funding has recently gone through the roof. Crime is a problem, probably because of the country's utter lack of prisons. Seraph Down's national animal is the dove, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the cherub.
