The Democratic Order of Sanzar is a massive, socially progressive nation, notable for its compulsory military service. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 4.318 billion enjoy some of the most opulent lifestyles in the region, unless they are unemployed or working-class, in which case they are variously starving to death or crippled by easily preventable diseases.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it is mainly concerned with Defence, although Education and Commerce are on the agenda. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 33%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Information Technology industry, followed by Arms Manufacturing and Gambling.

Retirement homes are often fitted with luxurious suites, record sales of 'child-whacking sticks' have been recorded, graffiti graces every city's streets, and pharmacies close down as medicinal drugs are sold freely by the government. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is crippling. Sanzar's national animal is the phoenix, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the denar.

Sanzar is ranked 23rd in the region and 2,179th in the world for Largest Furniture Restoration Industry.
