I've been destroying a bottle of wine (Mrs BBD is away with the granddaughters).

Darkesia, Big Bad Badger, and Malviet

I've got an earache that's been building up for a bit and has now decided to make my entire head want to explode.
Temptation to simply lay down and sleep off 2016 is very high.

What are Fridays good for, if not wine bottle destruction?

Aye, that's true.

Well I must be reasonably drunk. Just e-mailed Jeremy Corbyn telling him he had the backbone of an amoeba and the leadership qualities of my cat.

Aaaagghhh!

Trust me man, you are not the only one in TWP pissed as hell for BREXIT and the way thing have happened and been managed...

I could explain the many levels at which I, as a foreigner who carefully follows geopolitic, I'm pissed and in horror

Thanks guys.

Unpopular Opinion to follow:
I don't think Corbyn could have done anything different. It's not his fault that the people who turned out (in fantastic numbers) were not on his side. It's easy to blame a single target for a complacency among Remain voters. But the truth is, he can't be held responsible for people assuming sanity would prevail.

I'm hoping that people in the US take note that if they don't get off their asses and vote, there is going to be a scary insanity of our own to deal with.

Oh I agree with you. Wholeheartedly agree with you. This is not something we can pin in a single person, but I believe there are many things that could be done at both the institutional and organizational levels to perhaps sway common sense and sanity in the right direction...

I recently found this interview of a voter (who vote to LEAVE) saying he thought his vote wouldn't mind and so he voted to LEAVE...

I just can't believe the levels of... stupidity???

Stop looking, Dark. Stop looking, Dark. Stop looking, Dark.

I can't imagine Northern Ireland or Scotland enjoying England's company right now...

Have to disagree there Dark. Yes you can't blame one person (well you can, it's Farage with his racist dog whistle politics), but Corbyn was totally ambivalent throughout the whole of the campaign. He should have been up front persuading the Labour vote to go for Remain, but he didn't. Man's a total waste of space.

This is what I meant that there was an institutional lack of push. As leader, one would have expected tat from Corbyn, but he took it lightly I guess.

Anyway... for more Karaoke

Mi tío era mi primo
de un amigo de mi abuelo
que era indio americano
que se había enamorado
de una tico patuá
que nació en una goleta
abarrotada de esclavos
que se Jamaica robaron.

En lo puro no hay futuro
la pureza está en la mezcla
en la mezcla de lo puro
que antes que puro fue mezcla.

La madre de mi tío
se casó con un gitano
que tocaba la guitarra
con seis dedos en la mano
y acompañaba a un payo
que cantaba bulerías
con un negro de Chicago
que decía ser su hermano

En lo puro...

Dicen que mi abuelo
era un rubio bananero
que a Cuba llegó de España
pa quedarse en La Habana
y que yendo pa Santiago
conoció a una mulata
mezcla de tabaco y caña
que en francés a él le hablaba.

Señores, en lo puro no hay futuro
señores, la pureza está en la mezcla
señores, en la mezcla de lo puro
señores, que antes que puro fue mezcla

It's more than that. Corbyn has always been anti EU, fighting the old Bennite fights from the 70's. However the party for the last 30 years has been solidly pro EU. As party leader he should have been out there on the barricades, but he was invisible.

I'm surprised I'm still making sense. I've managed to demolish a nice Aussie shiraz.

Well, Brexit cooled down Karaoke Friday apparently

I was a liar
I gave into the fire
I know I should've fought it
At least I'm being honest
Feel like a failure
'Cause I know that I failed you
I should've done you better
'Cause you don't want a liar (come on)1

And I know, and I know, and I know
She gives you everything but boy I couldn't give it to you
And I know, and I know, and I know
That you got everything
But I got nothing here without you

So one last time
I need to be the one who takes you home
One more time
I promise after that, I'll let you go
Baby I don't care if you got her in your heart
All I really care is you wake up in my arms
One last time
I need to be the one who takes you home

I don't deserve it
I know I don't deserve it
But stay with me a minute
I'll swear I'll make it worth it
Can't you forgive me
At least just temporarily
I know that this is my fault
I should have been more careful (come on)

And I know, and I know, and I know
She gives you everything but boy I couldn't give it to you
And I know, and I know, and I know
That you got everything
But I got nothing here without you baby

So one last time
I need to be the one who takes you home
One more time
I promise after that, I'll let you go
Baby I don't care if you got her in your heart
All I really care is you wake up in my arms

Boy, so what's been on your mind?
For me, it's just you all the time
We don't need to go nowhere tonight
It's you and I, we'll be alright
'Cause here, we get to take our time
You, you're finer than some wine
We don't need to go nowhere tonight
It's you and I, we'll be alright

I'll give you everything
I'll give you everything
You don't owe me anything
So are you ready, baby?

You got me screaming
My my my ma-ma my my
You got me screaming
My my my ma-ma my my
And then I'm like, oh, your love
My my my my my
And then I'm like, oh, yeah yeah
'Cause you're what I adore, babe

After that, when you catch your breath
You look at me and say
Love, are you real?
Just don't pretend you're just a friend, babe

I'll give you everything
I'll give you everything
You don't owe me anything
So are you ready, baby?

You got me screaming
My my my ma-ma my my
You got me screaming
My my my ma-ma my my
And then I'm like, oh, your love
My my my my my
And then I'm like, oh, yeah yeah
'Cause you're what I adore, babe

Just don't pretend you're just a friend (just a friend)
Don't pretend you're just a friend (just a friend)
Don't pretend you're just a friend (just a friend)
Don't pretend you're just a friend, boy

You got me screaming
My my my ma-ma my my
You got me screaming
My my my ma-ma my my
And then I'm like, oh, your love
My my my my my
And then I'm like, oh, yeah yeah
