In another 5 years I could well be into great-grand parentage :) or :( Not sure which of these emojis I really feel at the moment!

I had a lovely hike this morning. I don't want to be a grown up yet. I want to go on a picnic and catch salamanders, not clean the house.

Well soon enough, you'll be able to take your grandkids hunting salamanders!

Darkesia and Malviet

I know! I'm so excited. :)

No one ever really grows up. This is most pronounced in the male of the species, however, certainly not restricted to it.
This is what psychologists refer to as your 'inner-child'.
It is this that pokes and prods you until you give in to its free-spirit like nature, as is with most children.
It is this that drives that insatiable curiosity that most of us retain well into the sunset of our lives.
It is this that allows us to connect to our offspring(and theirs) on their level(children)

It is this that gives us our strength.

Can your inner-child come out to play ?

:p

Some people of course never figure out how to turn it off, they're the ones who get left behind

I wonder if All Good People has seen this request from Loop?

That is three or maybe even four hard drives ago for me. I'm not one to keep things lying around for long.

Papercuts and Skittles wrote:Some people of course never figure out how to turn it off, they're the ones who get left behind

From my perspective, it is the ones whom cannot coordinate/get along with their inner-child that are 'left behind'.

To 'turn off' your inner-child, you would be shutting out the very core of yourself, causing great discord.

That's the post that sent me reading the 70 page thread your NS forum quote is from Dark

I don't know about "inner child" but I do have the heart of a small child.

Handy things glass jars and formalin.

I have a whole dungeon floor of those......

is it okay if I post a game that I recommend to play

The URL I mean for the website the game is on

Happy Mother's day!

oh and happy mother's day everyone

Montron wrote:is it okay if I post a game that I recommend to play

No, but you could create a thread on our forum and do that: http://www.westpacific.org/forums/

Also, you must avoid multiple posts. You can put multiple thoughts in one post if necessary.

Montron is on 'probation'.

It would behoove them to read the rules.

Had they read the rules, the query of illegally posting for another site would have been answered already.

I hardly have an inner child, I'm just a child outright.

*nods* Yeah, I noticed his post last night. But I figured about all I could point to him would maybe be a few old ADN threads on dead forums if I could find them. I didn't really pay that much attention to TEP in those days, I was mainly in TNP and TWP in the GCRs. And they weren't part of Equilism's FA arena either, to us they were a region that backed those we opposed in NPO in The Pacific. And we knew they didn't like the ADN, which meant they didn't like us. That was pretty much it. I had nothing against Loop myself, so I didn't understand the hostility.

Of course, I was always a bit different from others in ADN. I'd reached out to Mammothstan a couple times, tried to break the ice. I never understood the hostility between ADN and Gatesville, other than their positions in regards to NPO. I was among the few in the first negotiations between ADN and Gates. And again in some quiet negotiations between ADN and NPO. The Gatesville talks were more productive than with NPO though.

I had also negotiated, with EuroSoviets, the end to the ADN wars with The German Empire and Ireland. Den was involved in that too. I was Prosecutor General at the time, and then brought impeachment proceedings against ADN President Vazquez for his invasion of Ireland after the Peace Treaty was signed. I personally apologized to Ireland, and they graciously accepted. President Vazquez resigned, avoiding impeachment. During the prior ADN Elections, Equilism Founder/President Equility ran against incumbent Vazquez. And I, as Equililsm Prime Minister, ran for ADN Vice President in a three way race with EuroSoviets and incumbent Democratic Donkeys. It was a close race, but before it was over I threw my votes and support to Democratic Donkeys, blocking EuroSoviets. And then, not long afterwards, VP Democratic Donkeys revealed himself as a raider spy.

All this turbulence in the leadership and a log jammed congress lead to the end of Constitutional ADN and the beginning of ADN Reloaded. Equility and I then had the opportunity to try to focus the organization on it's mission, not on politics/government/foreign policy as two competing visions were developing. With some exceptions, Blackbird's proposals won out. Equility and I ran the new ADN Intel Board, later myself and others. I was the first Assistant Director of ADN Reloaded, and when the Director went AWOL, I was Acting Director.

Speaking of EuroSoviets, I was close to brining charges against him, but the RLA then withdrew from ADN which ended his membership.

And then as the game changed (2006), Equilism withdrew from ADN, and I opened relations with NPO and The Pacific. Of course, ADN opposed me when I replaced the Equilism Commonwealth with Imperial Equilism. *chuckles* That was fun.

TEP then came to be more of a concern to me under Gnidrah. Both TEP and TNP were ripe for being couped. And three of the players that were interested and talking about couping TEP are still around. One of which, was eventually elected Delegate, and served the region well. This was even discussed with one of TEP and TRR's Kandarin and has his cautious approval. Both of the others, have served other GCRs well as Delegate. And back at that time, TSP was paranoid that everyone was coming to coup them, when no one was paying much attention them, they were so very insulated from the rest of NS.

Okay, I got pretty far afield from info about Loop.

- Westwind

P.S. - Coups happen every year in some GCR. Just do you part to make sure it isn't TWP next, and endorse our Delegate and Guardians

I was reading THAT declassified thread earlier this week, heh

Also, did not mean to leave our Mistress of the Dark out of story time <3

That's the one thing that newer players do not 'get', therefor there is no 'respect'.

New players do not know that this game has history and if you think about it, tenure(somewhat, it is player dependent).
