Are you Greg or Romar, Dawinia? Never really got around learning your RL names.

The latter. *waves*

Greg is Gilead, so he's easy to remember. Greg = Gregorius. Plus the country name sounds like his.

I'm back. Don't worry, I won't ever leave

Erm, under the current constitution all the Parliament does (and has ever been doing) is making laws.

Post self-deleted by The Supreme Union.

At the moment, the Governor is forced to give the PM, the Head of Parliament, executive power.

Thanks Romar!

Looks like I'm not the only one who named their ruler after themselves :D I named mine Demetrius and my capital Saint Demetrium and my RL name's Dimitris ;)

Is the Governor elected or not?

Valkany wrote:Is the Governor elected or not?

Nope, which is why I prefer that the Prime Minister (who is democratically elected) holds the executive power.

It that case, the Governor could've been an elected office when ya wrote up the last charter. I figured that since I was an ok leader than everyone was just fine with me being the executive because I'd do a good job. Hope you weren't attempting to stroke my ego, cause having a job which has its rightful responsibilities and powers given to another is quite annoying. ;)

Fifth most politically free, suck it.

What if you just had a President of Parliament, a Prime Minister, and a Governor?

The land of truth

Seems unnecessary. (President of Parliament and Prime Minister would essentially be the same thing.) As for the Governor, that position's probably just gonna go.

Is the PM elected by the Parliament or separately?

Avinaa wrote:What if you just had a President of Parliament, a Prime Minister, and a Governor?

Because we barely have enough people to warrant the overloaded government we already have. We don't need to add a position when we're trying to cut down on the red tape.

As per our previous election system, the PM was elected separately. However, I haven't looked at the most recent charter (which is on its way out, anyway). Please refer to our government pages on the forum--I think, even as a newcomer, you are able to look at those, but if not, let us know and I'll quote the relevant sections.

Well if the PM is elected separately then technically he isn't a prime minister, he's more of a president.

Also I can't look at the government page.

Indeed, indeed. The proposed Council system should make all of these problems (useless positions, inefficient processes, etc) go bye-bye. It'll be grand.

Also am I ever gonna get approved to be a citizen?

Okay, so on the map could I have the northern coast of the Algerian Sea, and the unclaimed land on the Sundra Canal?

89th politically free! My country is in my hands, and my hands alone!

He's still a member of the parliament, not a separate entity unto himself. Hence, he's still a prime minister.

Yes, be patient.

Avinaa wrote:Okay, so on the map could I have the northern coast of the Algerian Sea, and the unclaimed land on the Sundra Canal?

You'll have to apply on the map application thread (after you're accepted).

Avinaa wrote:Also am I ever gonna get approved to be a citizen?

There is ongoing deliberation, Avinaa.
