I was at a party and several of us started talking about a road trip, so we decided to leave then and there and left about midnight after going home to pack and take care of other matters. We hit the road, splitting the driving between the four of us girls and stayed in single motel rooms to save on expenses. Mornings were interesting, lol We tried to make as many tourist destinations in each state that we could based on our route.

The most memorable event, and there were many, was when we were on our way to Yellowstone. We had just passed Casper when the transmission on our car died. TG for AAA. We were able to get towed back to Casper to a dealership. Fortunately, what caused the failure was under an extended warranty and we were back on the road after losing three days in Casper.

Well, that was spur-or-the-moment. I'm glad you had fun, but even if I wasn't unable to legally drive due to my age, I'd be unable to commit to such a sudden trip for so long....especially since when I am that old, hopefully I'd have a job that I'd want to continue making money off of....and two easily worried parents, one of which would blame the other (and the other would blame the one's girlfriend) for my sudden disappearance and complete absence.
At least you weren't stranded for long....
Did you ever see the Mystery Shack in Gravity Falls? 8D

Yes it was. We were on summer break from Uni where I am pursuing a Masters in Accounting while being a TA (Teaching Assistant) for Undergraduate accounting classes so I've been on my own for awhile as were the other girls, thought in different disciplines. It was fortunate that we were able to have our car repaired quickly and cheaply.

I didn't see Mystery Shack in Gravity Falls. Where was that exactly?

WOW! That was some road trip you took, Soph. I'm envious and I'm happy that the car trouble didn't cut your trip short. You will post some pictures on the forums I hope.

I thought of some other names for our newspaper. How about Tales of Respect, The Respected Tribune, or the The Respected News. Any thoughts?

Just north of normal, just west of weird. Or, well, on Disney XD. It's beloved to countless. http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/WesternAnimation/GravityFalls

The first one sounds like a recurring feature article. I still stand by the title of Gazette.

What a way to spend a Summer vacation, Soph. What are you going to plan for next years and how do you top that?

Tiltpa, the link take me to a blank page. :(

I get the following when I click the link...

We don't have an article named WesternAnimation/GravityFal. If you want to start this new page, just click the edit button above. Be careful, though, the only things that go in the Main namespace are tropes. Don't put in redirects for shows, books, etc.. Use the right namespace for those.

IKR Haven't a clue. Europe, maybe?

As soon as the current poll closes I will start another one for the name. Everybody can vote for their favorite then.

The Velvetine Rabbit wrote:Tiltpa, the link take me to a blank page. :(

Let me try that again....http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/WesternAnimation/GravityFalls
If that doesn't work, then put Gravity Falls in the TV Tropes search bar.

-Amelia Pond- wrote:Both of those sounded like something that I'd love to do sometime. Please do tell.

Were you asking me?

I've been trying to plan a road trip for after a graduate college in May. Drive around the country and visit friends and go places.

Europe would be fantastic. Could I join you?

Got it. :D Interesting, I had never heard of it.

Do it while you can, before you get tied down in something. ;)

What Rabbit said. ;)

The Velvetine Rabbit wrote:Europe would be fantastic. Could I join you?

If that starts to become a reality, I'll let you know. There could be more of us going so we could rent a small van to travel around in. Expenses could be less that way.

Yeah that's what I'm trying to do. I'll share my route once it's all planned out so like if any of you are near any of my stops we could chill. I was planning on meeting a number of my online friends already.

*in response to all the travelly business*
Unfortunately, for reasons that I have made you aware of, me meeting the true Cast (let alone joining in) is unlikely due to school, parents, etc. Rest assured that I would love to, however. Perhaps once I graduate, I could plan to actually see at least one of you.

The Velvetine Rabbit wrote:Got it. :D Interesting, I had never heard of it.

It's a wonderful show, I assure you.

In other news....Do any of you have plans for All Hallow's Eve this far out? I most certainly do....hahaha haaaa...

I agree with that, Rabbit. This is the best time for you to do it, Vast.

Europe, I would love to come with. Let me know if it become a reality and perhaps Allison could meet you somewhere over there.

Do let us know. Unfortunately, Allison lives "across the pond", as she says, in the UK so I don't think that you will be able to meet her on your trip.

*hugs Tiltpa* Awww, I know that it must be frustrating to you now hearing us talk about having the freedom to do as we please, but your time will come, and when it does, I hope that you will choose wisely. There is evil out there for those who are not careful and I don't want to see you come to any harm.

As far as Halloween is concerned, for me there are the usual number of parties and pub crawls so nothing definite yet.

It's no trouble, just time and typing. And I realize perfectly well that the world has all of the evil that men do. I don't wish to come to harm either, but Fate and Fortune are flighty and fickle.

I bring up Halloween because I've got a plan of my own for it....or, well, the day before due to it falling on a Saturday. I plan to go as Maxwell from Don't Starve (dont-starve-game.wikia.com/wiki/Maxwell -- note that the bloke on my flag, Wes [dont-starve-game.wikia.com/wiki/Wes], is just wearing Max's suit), with a particular caveat....

Let us know. I know that I'd like to meet you IRL.

As to evil: In the early days, we had a stalker here and on our forums. He was a known threat trough out NS and Amelia banjected him from here and the forums before he could do any damage to anyone. This is the only person who has ever been forcibly removed from tRr and he lasted less than 12 hours.

I was planning as going as Princess Leia from Star Wars. ^_^

Hang in there, Tiltpa. Your turn will come

A couple of friends and I are going as The Cat in the Hat, Thing 1, and Thing 2. lol Should be fun.

Stalker, eh? Would it be a hassle to inform me of the details (via telegram, if you deem it appropriate)?
Sounds like a more-than-reasonable costume, plus like one you can actually purchase as a package deal (hair aside). I gotta find myself a nice suit, a chest binder, grey hair dye, and a beautiful assistant. Plus a corsage.

My parents informed me that there is a very likely chance that I will be receiving a truck/car when I graduate. Because down here used cars are cheaper across the board. So this upcoming May after I graduate, I'll be driving up Interstate 95 from Central Florida all the way to Boston, MA. So if any of you live on the East Coast states, let me know. Especially if you're near I-95.

I'm also planning a longer one that will span much more of the U.S. If you all want to know that route too, let me know.

Indeed; word of his arrival traveled like wildfire and the forum was ablaze. This man was stalking a 14 yo girl and trying to use her 13 yo brother to get to her in one region. There were a lot more regions where he tried to lure girls into his web. Unfortunately, he's still around in the game.

I think that the above ^ will give some idea of this person's behaviour. If you are registered on the forum, I could give you a link to the thread.

WOW! A graduation present!!! All I received were the bills for my student loans, which I still am paying off. :(

I'm in the Midwest so I won't be seeing you on your homeward trip. Do let us know your itinerary for your road trip later.

I'm somewhere in Northern Kentucky. Depends on whether I'm at Mom's or Dad's.

Also, on the overall news of stalker fella: Eesh.

I'm getting a touch tired and hence a touch concise.

What a wonderful graduation present. Just what you need to start off your adult life.
I currently live in Kansas so I don't think that I'll be seeing you on your return home. Perhaps on your vacation later?

Tiltpa wrote:Also, on the overall news of stalker fella: Eesh.

The incident that Amelia posted was just the tip of the iceberg. There was a whole forum that was devoted just to keeping track of him and all of his puppets. There were people from all over NS posting there.

Tiltpa wrote:Also, on the overall news of stalker fella: Eesh.

I wasn't here when he arrived and caused the stir, but I know of him from other regions. What a piece of work, that one.

Besides Allison, who else lives outside of the US?
