Churchill, Roosevelt, and Stallin photo from the Yalta Confrence is an iconic photo in history. All three winners and "allies" of WWII, the three leaders all knew that the direction of their counties were going in different directions. Although Great Britian was on the winning side their days as an empire and superpower were numbered. The Soviet Union also on the winning side, Under Stalin, was already preparing for showdown with the west after Berlin was sacked, and the U.S., dispute British reluctance, already assumed the mantle of "worlds policeman" and the poster boys of Western Ideas. I love that picture because the three leaders knew all this yet their subjects, their own nations had no clue a 50 year Cold War had just begun. Keep it coming AMERICA 1941. It's good to know this young generation appriciate a history still.

Belgium States

When I first started playing Natio States I was actually studying the history of the Nation State in comparison to Romes Republic and empires of the colonial era and antiquity. In my spare time I play FIFA soccer because of sports and it's simplicity game play and stats. I played sim city because of my interest in urbanization and it's comparisons to city's of antiquity and the modern period. However none could quench my thirst for understanding the development of states, nations and empires. So I was enthralled by this game. Now, what my whole point of this RMB POST is: when I started playing I figured it would be a bunch of old heads playing because I didn't think the younger generation was as interested in their government or history for that matter. I have to say it's been very reassuring to see that today's young men and woman still care about the world and their country. Talking to Belgiumn States I figured him to be late 20's early 30's. He's still in high school. (Compliment Belgium states. Not a knock on you at all. You seem wiser then your years. Kudos). Everyone on here has a high degree of intelligence that I can Appriciate. Bottom line, I feel much more reassured about the future. My kids have an appreciation for history. The young Marines under my command had an appriciation for history as well as their place in it. America dispite anyone's complaints about it (mine included. Believe me we can do better, even if we are the best) is still a unique exceptional nation. I think the haters have their points about certain things but for me it's hypocritical on their part. A communist nation complaining about America's role in the world seems hypocritical when their corruption far exceeds the corruption that goes on here. My advice for you young future genius leaders is read between the lines when viewing the news or slanted reporting. Regarding Police and abuse of minorities, you cannot argue with the videos we are seeing. It's corruption at its finest. It's murder in those cases. Yes, it's wrong and change must happen. However, don't be fooled to think this occurs DAILY. Hundreds of thousands of police do their job right. A handful do not. Also, don't be fooled to think it's always white American police abusing African Americans. While we see the videos of it there are other crimes being committed like the 61 year old white American beaten by 40 African American students simply because he asked them to stop leaning on his car while they wait for the school bus. This happened up the street from my house two days ago. There was hardly a mention of it on news and when it was RACE WAS NOT AN ISSUE NORE MENTIONED. The news will slant anything to enrage the public and make us think the problem is race. The problem isn't race people. It's criminal behavior regardless of race. Those cops who killed are criminals. Those kids who beat that man are criminals. The only way we overcome partisan and race hate is if we start looking at everyone as AMERICANS and not as black or white. I hope this RMB post is read by a future journalist so that they will do their job in support of the public, and not to enrage them and divide them. Thank you for reading my ramble of the day.

I agree with practically everything you just said, for the thought that police officers simply target African-Americans is preposterous. However, there may be corruption within our polices forces, but where is corruption not found? The answer, nowhere; whether it's the Police, Worker's Unions, Government, Corporations, Charities, and even Churches. The media attempts to point out motivations behind everything that happens, but they fail miserably. On the topic of our children, I don't hold the same level as optimism as you. Millennials aren't as religious, Conservative, and informed like other generations are (This is coming from one of them, me). I'm not attempting to start a controversial debate, rather pointing out our society. And I agree, excellent post, Loveland.
