I never really understood the need to create a new gender for one's self; this isn't to say that I oppose it (I'm rather apathetic) but it gets irritating after a while when people get so caught up in social constructs and limit themselves based upon them.
Same. Not saying that identities don't have a role in our current society, just that I think a lot of people get too caught up in identity politics.
That said, there's a lot of pressure to have a category. Personally, i'd probably feel a bit confused and isolated if these words didn't exist, so I think it's understandable that we want to have a group and a name for how we feel - it makes you feel justified.

So what are you really?

I was present on the day this region was founded in 2009. It irritates me to no end to see posts like this; I cannot stress enough that we intended this region to be for ACTUAL, real-life leftists who play this game.

I thought this community is based on equality and freedom of speech, what gives you the right to suppress stupid comments?
I didn't intend my message to sound that rude, so sorry about that.

I feel like it's good that people are making communist nations even if they're not communists. It just grows our community and means that we are interesting enough to want to join or threatening enough to want to spy on. Either way, I see it is as good. It's not like a tag raid will do anything anyways. The delegate is non-executive.
It's not creating new genders, it's naming the way you feel. For me realising that there are other genders and that the way I've always felt is something that exists and I can talk to other people who feel the same... it was an amazing moment. It wasn't limiting, it was freeing; it wasn't "okay, I'm going to be nonbinary in these ways" but "oh, wow, non binary... i don't have to try to be a girl or try to be a boy." society does really pressure us to fit into a gender, to have an answer to the gender question.
I believe comrade Godless Monkey's post made it fairly clear why the post was suppressed.
The accusation by a brand-new member that The Internationale is "sh*tting itself" by applying a password—and later, with the help of a series of comrade volunteers, successfully executing The Red Fleet's emergency security plan—is frankly ridiculous.
This community is based on leftist unity and solidarity. Accusing our region of "sh*tting itself" for successfully protecting itself is not very comradely and is not acting in a spirit of unity or solidarity.

Unrelated to the posts above, I have updated our forum to include better code for the Comrade Membership check that now properly sorts nations in this region into the "Comrade Member" group. Many comrades' forum accounts are currently listed in the "Foreign Visitor" usergroup because they haven't made their way back from The Rejected Realms, but they should be good to go once they move back in.
There are only three non-military comrades remaining in TI that have yet to move to The Red and Black before we can finally declare the move a complete success and begin elections.
Nominations are still open, however, for Comrade WA Delegate and the General Council, including Councillorships for Activities, External Affairs, and Information.
I will nominate myself for Comrade WA Delegate -- stay tuned for a platform.

I found a neat documentary about a true Afghan hero, Ahmad Shah Massoud, filmed less than a year before his assassination.

*Woops, the film was actually released just after his death and just before the US invasion of Afghanistan.
^That was my explanation.
Anyone who wants to pop in here out of the blue to tell us that we're "sh*tting ourselves" by doing what is required to keep our region safe can expect the same.
The question isn't why I suppressed the post, the question is why I didn't eject or banject them too.
Yeah, I know. I was just saying that, in general, I think it would be good to say why a comment was suppressed afterwards. I'm not talking sepcifically about this case.
