Today is the 1 Year Anniversary of this region. Yay?
And I had such high hopes when everything started... I'm sorry I haven't been a better founder, I failed.
I was hoping that once we got enough nations, people would start exerting their own influence over the region and if they didn't see something they wanted they would have the freedom to create it. Instead, very few actually did anything and I felt that I was taking on many of the roles I had delegated out to others, which was frustrating. Then the population declined and real life stepped in and I no longer had the time I once did to devote to this region to try and reverse the trend.
I am still willing to come back and try to help make this region into what it should have been, but I need some inspiration and a few more energetic people to take on expanded and important roles. I don't even know if anyone is still here and will see this, but it's out there now. The community is what made me enjoy this game. When the community went away, it's just not the same.
Altanea, I'm glad to see you're still around (I think). If you have any ideas, I'm all ears.
I agree, now that most of the players have dried up, it's really not that fun anymore. And real life is a drainer.
To be honest, I was thinking about just quitting NS. The game itself really hasn't evolved in the last 8 or so years I've been playing it. I may let Altanea collapse or hand it over to a more dedicated player.
To put it bluntly: I think we're all burned out.
Alt, why don't you try the forums, that's where most of my time is spent on NS.
Eh... forums really aren't my thing. Besides, I'm just tired of NS in general. But who am I kidding? I've been here for 7 1/2 years. I'll never leave.
