Wait 'till November...
"The people of the United Kingdom have exercised the sacred right of all free peoples. They have declared their independence from the European Union and have voted to reassert control over their own politics, borders and economy. A Trump Administration pledges to strengthen our ties with a free and independent Britain, deepening our bonds in commerce, culture and mutual defense. The whole world is more peaceful and stable when our two countries – and our two peoples – are united together, as they will be under a Trump Administration." - Donald J. Trump
Donald Trump's entire campaign has been nothing but a ponzi scheme. It's been proven that his campaign is paying him, his family members, businesses, and a fake ad corporation throughout his campaign. All his done is pander to the lowest denominator by blaming ethnic groups and religions for the nations problems. A child can play the blame game. It takes someone with some semblance of a brain to actually offer a solution to the problem - and no a wall isn't a solution. Walls have historical shown to keep people in not out.
Should Donald Trump actually be elected, I'll just say this I'm glad I dual citizenship United States and New Zealand.

Have you actually looked at his campaign and not the Huffington Post opinion articles on him?
Should Donald Trump be elected, you probably won't move to New Zealand just like people that said they'll move to Canada won't
The Huffington Post is a load of garbage with countless errors and it's insulting to assume that I would read it. And move to? I have another home there it wouldn't take much effort to go about doing so.
I've never truly understood the concept of patriotism. Borders are man made boundaries on a map. You don't get to pick the nation you're born into. In many nations you have little to no influence over the actions of the government. While in most 'democracies' election fraud is so common it's ridiculous you're merely given the illusion of the fact that your voice is being heard.
The United States prides itself on being a democracy and demonizes China as a tyrannical state but it only has one more major representative party within its house. I understood loving your home, the environment around it, friends, and the means that your government is founded upon. But, this day in age everything is so shrouded in controversy and corruption I don't understand how one can have much pride for their country.

I'll bet money that Brexit has been the #1 topic while I've been away
Sorry--but I feel like I need to inform you that poll isn't statistically significant. It's based on voluntary response and VR polls are basically considered worthless in the statistical community
It wouldn't shock me that most Americans support Brexit either way, just felt the need to talk about stats (my passion)
Agree and disagree. Borders are fancy lines, agreed. I don't like the concept of closed borders.
However, I consider myself very patriotic. Ararat and I might be on completely different sides of the political spectrum but iirc the one thing we agree on is that America is actually pretty great.
The American election system isn't perfect--no democratic system is, and there probably never will be a perfect democracy. But like de Tocqueville said, (paraphrasing) the strength of the American system is that it can correct its own mistakes.
And a final post: I'm still MIA for another week, I just thought I'd check up since I have time. Bird studies are going well if anyone was curious.
My two cents on Brexit are irrelevant at this point so I guess I won't be starting any controversy (darn).
As someone who technically labels himself an anarchist, I'm rather antipatriotic. :P
Funny that's what the "Remain" camp thought too. Then they got unpleasantly surprised. (At least it was unpleasant for them)
Oddly enough, I was considering Cumberlanda to have a referendum to leave CADO. #CumberRANda, right?
Also, last I checked, the NCS didn't have an open borders policy... right? Because if not, #CumberRANda is happening, and would likely cause a split in our supermajority party, creating CHIP: Cumberlandian Heritage and Independence Party.
Are you having a referendum about weather or not to leave CADO?
ArarOUT?
