Well, sort of. But not in the same way that collectivist would mean more modernly. I suppose I'll give you that they were to some extent collectivist.
I am neither a Democrat or Republican and have dislikesome in both parties, however I do position myself as a middle right voter. I am also a US Marine so I am all for the 2nd Amendment, National Security and taxes that go towards something and not free healthcare or free college when you can easily get both if you serve in the military which I also believe should be compulsory.

What being said, we need to jump start the regional government. It doesn't seem as if there has been much progress lately. That includes updates to the forum, factbook, wiki...etc. Kersenboogerd you are still the SG, you need to step up and stimulate the rest of the members to fix some of the issues we have in the region.
As for the election, we need to formulate a date for a election and have a call for candidates.
