Have the urge to do some gritty sci-fi "You're beyond any hope of help from the rest of the universe" colonial things, but I think that is mainly because I've fallen onto the Mass Effect Andromeda hype train.

Athretvari and The forklis

"Almost all of the planets population was wiped out in a fraction of a second. Relocated to.. somewhere else... The experimental weapon had failed and completely backfired. This was an extinction event of that like no other scale. Over the next few years, the rest of the population slowly died off from cancers and the strange disappearing of cells. They too were realized to be simply "relocating" on a much smaller scale. We had killed ourselves, and any hope we had to win any sort of conflict that could be any worse than this. Simply put, our species was finished."

this was an excerpt from something i've been writing for the past few months.
only inspired to post because of The imperial star republic of vocenae's post.. just something to get the brain waves moving. Have a great night everyone!

Dude welcome aboard. I'll be your waiter for this 600+ year ride. If you look to your left you will see ultra-mega waves of N7 hypeness, and if you look to your right, you will see the TEMPEST WAVIN SUP BRO. Our drink special is NONE OTHER THAN RYNCOL. Your captain goes by RYDER. We expect there to be minimal calibrations and a 100% chance of PATHFINDER MADNESS.

Let's just say i'm a big fan of Mass Effect. Played the trilogy at least 70 something times.

I'm just hoping it doesn't have any levels like Dragon Age Inquisition did with the Hinterlands. As I'm a completionist, I've had the game since launch and I've still not been able to conjure up the patience to get through it (and thus have yet to see the rest of the game). What makes it worse is that they decided to just give the Qunari some stupid looking facepaint instead of proper helmets so I'm thinking about, when I finally go back to it, to just starting over with a human just so I don't have to deal with a KISS lookalike character.

But yeah, hoping that Andromeda won't have any levels like that and that it's more in line with the original planetary exploration. I mean I'm all for new content, I just don't want content overload like it is in DA:I. And hopefully no more stupid "Hey let's stick a world state editor or something similar in a site outside of the game and then let's make it so that if you don't own Origin you'll have a hell of a time and probably won't be able to customize your world state!' things.

Icly im actually going to shoot an expedition to another galaxy. the USC is developing a wormhole slingshot with the potential of sending whole fleets intergalactic distances.

I loved Dragon Age Origins and Awakening. Dragon Age 2 was lacking, though i liked the dating it was placed in. Dragon Age: Inquisition was alright, just alright. I played through it once and no longer have the patience to play through it again. That's how i can tell it was only "alright".

If you were wondering where I've been for the past few days/weeks/months/years/however long it's been (though you probably weren't), I got Skyrim.

I think that's a sufficient answer.
