Must not be good pirates then if they get caught by the military, the whole point of being a pirate is not to get caught ha ha.
Just remember: arming refugees counts as supporting piracy.
Say no to arming refugees.
I'm just looking out for everyone's best interests. Armed refugees have a very high mortality rate.
Doom soundtrack acquired. Much anger. Very raider. Many drawings and writings will come of this.
Welcoming newcomers into TLC should be a community wide endeavor, not just Kyru single handily leading the welcome wagon. I'm glad to see you stepped up and greed someone, and it was glorious. :)
Vocenae and Perseid federation
You'd think a commie would understand what community meant
They're not armed refugees! They're glorious frontiersmen of the Imperial and Federal Union.

You're callin us silly? You don't even have books in here.
...wait...what's that noise?
OH GOD WHAT IS TH-
Doesn't matter how good of a pirate you are, you'll get caught eventually. They're pirates, not smugglers, they have to make their presence known and that is pretty dangerous. Like Sad Sir Onion Badger said: "If you're a famous smuggler, you're not doing it right."
The question is when you do get caught and the gigantic warship with massive cannons that can tear you 32 very large 'new ones' decides to give you a chance to continue to worthless life with only a marginal pay out, are you going to listen to their offer, run with your tail between your legs, or try and fight a rocket launcher with a squirt gun?
The smart ones listen. :P
Why- Why would refugees want arms? That kinda defeats the purpose of looking for refuge... -.-

Excuse you, we do not tolerate any homophobia here.
:P
"Anthropophobia," for the record. ;P (Srsly. Look it up. Actually a thing.)
No, you're thinking of misanthropy.
Anthropophobia is the fear of being around humans and interacting with them, whereas misanthropy is the distrust/hatred/fear of human beings.
Regardless, you butchered my joke like the Terminus survivors butchered Bob's leg.
It was a sci-fi joke, GTR.
"Xenophobia," strictly speaking (xeno, strange; phobia, fear), means a "fear of strangers or foreigners" or "a strong antipathy or aversion to strangers or foreigners." "Anthropophobia," strictly speaking (from anthropos, meaning "human, man"), means "a profound fear of human beings or human society." "Homophobia" means "fear, dislike or hatred of homosexuals." (Sources: Wiktionary)
In a science-fiction context, "xenophobia" is often broadened to include alien (non-human) species and is often the focus of anthropocentric (human-focused) star-states. I was drawing a deliberate comparison between this and "anthropophobia." I know "misanthropy" (miseo anthropos) is largely applicable, as well, but was not the word I meant in the context of my comparison. ;P
Edition No. 18 of the State of the Galaxy has been published.
Athretvari and The great trade republic
And I was making a joke about humans are called 'Homo sapiens' and so 'Homophobia' could theoretically be applied to anti-human sentiment in a sci-fi setting in the same way 'Xenophobia' is applied to anti-alien sentiment.
We'll both have to just admit that neither of us is as funny as we think we are. :P
[crickets]
I had no idea vahkiran sounded like that when they rub their legs together.
Creepy as hell.
I'm going to need to keep that over your head gif on quick call aren't I?
Apply liberally.
And directly to the forehead.
MEMORIES! SO MANY HORRIBLE MEMORIES!
