Okay, so I think I have an idea about what my aliens will be like. They'll be mammals, but they won't be a spitting image of humans this time.
I'll create a factbook which will go into much further detail later when I can come up with a name for them.

There shouldn't be a second welcome TG. We have a welcome post on our RMB instead, and that should contain the important information for you.
So you've defined that they're warm blooded, but just saying they're mammals doesn't really tell me anything else (yes I realize you said you were going to work on the factbook) however mammals can have a broad range of characteristics, from the venomous shrews from Africa up to the blue whale which is an aquatic mammal, what is their basic appearance, any defining biological characteristics that make them unique, if I could suggest look over the FT Free Use species application (it's in the helpful links section of the Advice Thread and use that to help you define your species and as always if you need any help just ask and I'll be more than happy to give you an assist

I think it's time for me to try out a new flag. Perhaps something with five interlocking circles to symbolize the five castes, filled in various shades of blue and green? I'm not really sure, but something like that could work. It should preferably portray the five castes in some way, symbolize order, harmony and unity, be nice to look at without being ostentatious while still evoking a cultured feel. I know that's a lot all at once, but I'm sure it can be done. Any capable flag makers feel up to the task?
I can make flags look good simply by using MS Paint, but you'll need someone else for more complex projects. :P
I use Windows 7 paint for my flags. Pretty much all of them are made from a single image featuring a grid.

Well, they're carnivorous for one thing. Purely carnivorous. So naturally they have rather sharp teeth. They have back-jointed legs, stand at roughly 7-8 feet on average, possess four 5-inch fingers on each hand, they possess nocturnal vision, typically pretty placid, have kind of rubbery skin that ranges from various shades of brown and grey to pitch black and very rarely white which typically determines their ethnicity, with greys and whites being of the same ethnicity, browns being a separate ethnicity, and blacks are more... "biracial" I guess would be the best term, born from a dark grey and dark brown parent.
Again, more will be elaborated on in a factbook once I have a name for them.

The reason I went so far back and am now making this post is because a bit under a year ago I wrote here about an idea I had involving a sort of neo-Luddite terrorist faction and a few people expressed interest if I ever did anything with them. Suffice to say I'm poised to have them make their entrance onto the galactic stage. If you're one of those who are interested then I invite you to contact Genomita about getting involved in the coming RP. If you're interested in having the group attack you directly in relation to their entrance, feel free to TG me as I'm hoping to give them at least one other viable target they could at least try to hit in order to partially justify this first attack we're planning. Sounds great! Currently adding some more information about Houseidou.
Turns out that the FT setting's pre-existing Space Japan, the Nakabe Prefecture of the R.u.B., had conflicts with the R.u.B. centuries ago, before it was absorbed, roughly around the same time as Houseidou's establishment.
So the R.u.B. agreed to let Houseidou be a lost colony of Nakabe.
