If you end your name with "ph" you will be able to use a phi when spelling your name in Greek, since Greek actually has nothing resembling an "f".
Make sense. So, will Sparta leave the Greek Union like the Briton did?
You have to ask whoever is in charge here. Did you know the the linothorax armor actually gave more protection than bronze of even iron armor?
No I did not know. Quite surprising. Did you know that Sanskrit is the oldest language ever exist?
Actually Sumerian is the first written language other than possibly from the Indus (Mohenjo_daru) civilization, but since it has not been translated, it might not even be a language. As for Sanskrit, it exists as the oldest totally written language, as it has no existing spoken language, but is considered as being in the Indo-Aryan (also known as Indo-european)language group(being used by several different modern languages i.e. the symbols represent the same meanings, even though the spoken languages are completely different. Chinese also functions in this manner, so there are several languages that are considered Chinese, i.e. Cantonese and Mandarin, that are actually totally different orally). which included Hittite, Farsi, Hindu, Urdu, Mycenaean, Greek, Latin and most modern European languages except Finnish, and a few regional languages. There are also a few artificial languages (languages invented to serve a number of purposes, such as attempts to unify normally fragmented nations) such as modern Hebrew and Afrikaans, which is an amalgam of English and Dutch. Some languages like Hindi and Urdu, and Navaho (the language is spelled with an H and not the usual J as used for the tribe) and Apache as well as Croatian and Slovak, are in reality the same language but are named differently for political and cultural differences. Speaking of Navaho, it is actually comprises a number of disparate languages used culturally, such as Men's and Women's languages--yes, the men and women use mutually incomprehensible languages when separated from another and mutual Navaho when speaking to each other--also some of the clans have their own languages apart from the group. The Apache are a disenfranchised clan that broke away from the main group some time in the 1700s.
It's really quiet here lately. Must have been too much linguistics.
You win. Haha.

If you say so. Actually, I never saw it a a contest. I was merely responding to a subject that I find interesting.
Akeroyd gone! How horrible! We don't have a WA rep! How is that possible?
He'll be back. I hope.
If not, goodbye, old friend.
