Comrades, how the heck are ya?

Such a pleasure to see the always friendly Pasionaria around these parts. I am doing well friend, just kicking up my feet and working on fine tuning my nation through issues. Economy is the hardest to effectively administer, since I always tend to answer those in the predictable manner I suppose.

Comrade, have you see any good films recently? I saw the film Insidious with Patrick Wilson and Rose Byrne, it was a very good psychologically freaky film. The antagonist is rarely seen but when you see him, ah boy, do you see him...

Also, where are you from originally, whats you background? I like the fact that you've incorporated Spanish into your nation name and aesthetics, as have a lot of new nations in the Internationalist struggle. Still being committed to the struggle in real life, I always look for ways to incorporate facebook friends, many of whom speak different languages, and try to bring them in the game.

I grew up in Los Angeles but my parents are both from Mexico and I've always had strong roots which kept me in touch with the culture of my homeland. I think that its not a negative that the children of immigrants integrate into American culture, but I find that it makes them really hard to talk to and de-program from the national myth. The national myth being the idea of the American dream, unrealistic expectations of social mobility, and individualism/identification through consumption.

For those that do weather the pressure and seek alternative ways to help our people and, of course all peoples of the earth, we are a merry bunch of Comrades, always learning from each other and maintaining each others support in our vision.

Since the condition of being a revolutionary has changed from the early 20th century model of picking up arms and seeing where we can be of use is harder and harder to accommodate we perform local work. Mainly meetings, collecting food for free re-distribution or free community meals, and trying to make connections with more 'action oriented' Comrades.

My goal is still to make revolution or die trying though. Its nothing I'd ask or converse of lightly under normal circumstances, but I'm sure you've at least one time felt the 'what am I really doing for the People?'-existential crisis.

You're a breath of fresh air Comrade, I'll see if I can find a torrent of REC 2 since I'm cheap like that. REC was good, better than the remake of it in the US.

The American system does impose the ideology of The American Dream which is about nothing but attempting gain an advantage over your fellow human being, whether through profit, employment or exploitation, or all three, and anyone who is unlucky and poor, and can not keep up are left to rot.

The American Dream is the American Nightmare, it encourages people to pledge to a flag and allegience, (Nationalism alert!) states their nation is greater than anyone else (Fascism alert!) and encourages materialism and individualism and militarism over the sense of seeing what the real priorities are: Education, Health, and Welfare for all.

The pursuit of happiness, the mantra of The American Dream is really just the pursuit of survival without starving to death. Happiness is about the quality of live, freedom and emancipation, and seeing family, friends and other people enjoying the same, not struggling to survive in a cuthroat system that ruthlessly crushes anyone who can not compete in the rat race.

My family has a history of left-wing principles. One Great Uncle was a Communist, who often went on holiday to Yugoslavia with his family, another Great Uncle was a Socialist, and my dad is a Socialist involved in the Trade Union movement.

Learning from each other, and helping each other is always vital because it is of course how we progress. We must always offer each other support. :)

The goal of revolution is indeed one we all aim for, how it comes about may surprise, but we must be ready.

Indeed, I have felt at times that what is the use of continuing the struggle, pack it in, give it up, because the struggle is too hard and fraught.....but you know Comrade, we must never feel bad about this, because it shows that we are human beings, who doubt, who have emotions, and who care.

Any Comrade who has ever told you that they have not felt at times that giving up was something they have considered because of feeling that the efforts they contribute are minimal to useless, or because they see the struggle as to hard of a struggle to fight is not being true to themelves as well as to you.

We are human beings, and to not realise the struggle is hard, to not realise that the system we face is brutal and crushing, is not to realise the full extent of the struggle we face in the belief of our principles.

So your existential crisis is not one you have faced alone. Don't give up Comrade. I know you won't. Because you care about the injustices of the world, and you can't block your ears and shut your eyes, and nor can any Comrade. And that's why all Comrades remain Comrades for all of their lives,

The most beautiful of all doubts Comrade, is when the oppressed lift their heads and begin to doubt the power of their oppressor.

They are making a REC 3 as well now! I hope they don't go overboard just for a cash cow.

Talking of hollywood remakes and their originals, and if you like TV Dramas, there was a US TV series recently called The Killing, about a murder investigation?

Watch the original Danish version instead if you can....superior in every way possible. :)

Equally, the continuing support and actions of The International Brigades in Stalingrad have shown what wonderful Comrades you are.
