Today, the military staged an air exercise in preparation for the possible intervention in G&G. Staged in the north of Backatri, far away from any prying eyes, many C-130's move out of hiding places in the jugle and begin takeoff. After 10 minutes, there is a nose to nose line of planes taking off, with those that land being immediately loaded and fueled up for another run.

You do know there is a lot of land between you and I right Backatri and the last time I check, you where still fighting a civil war. Your country is in no shape to fight another war. You request is rejected.
OOC: Most of military prep stuff has involved airbases, with Backatri obviously flying over the neutral zone. Or there being a massive land conflict in the neutral area.
Also, FARC has like 30,000 members in a nation of over 2 billion people, so they are not obviously a massive threat to Backatri's military. The actual Colombia has been fighting FARC since the 1960's, and they JUST signed a ceasefire.
As a result of FARC, Colombia has the best military in South America, something I'm going for with Backatri. I tried to make up for the possibility of a divided front by doing the post about enlisting more troops.

No high ranking individuals with Backatri's government have given any opinion on TNA's strike.

The Ultimatum is pushed back to September 1st. While the government says that TNA's strike had damaged G&G's nuclear program to stop them for the time being, mist media sources correctly guess that the government pushed it back because it isn't working.
In related news, Backatri implements the DEFCON system into national nuclear defense. With 5 being a low risk and 1 being imminent nuclear war, it is now DEFCON 4, codenamed FAST PACE, with the military ready to deploy within 6 hours, as the threat from G&G is present, but not immediate.
Due to indications of a future armed conflict with the COA. The TNA increases its readiness and calls on 46 million reservists on a two week readiness training.
This will strain the TNA economy but it's not the first time such a call has been made.
