I don't know if I would go as far as scum, but I would say that Stalin set back the movement in quite a few ways. Khrushchev's "The Personality Cult and its Consequences" really sums up my feelings toward him, although I've seen it called revisionist by some. I honestly can't say if I think that Trotsky would've done any better, but Stalin's blatant narcissism, hunger for power, and plain brutality set back Marxist-Leninism in a big way.
And I have to disagree there. Remember, Trotsky was the one who really pushed for war with the capitalist world, and then blamed everyone else when it failed miserably on the Vistula.

I'm honestly a little confused as to what this does for my nation, even with stats thing accompanying it
I've been playing for over a year I honestly can't answer that question :)
I know this may not be considered relevant to some, but I have a question that I have been wanting answered:
Could another "Great Depression" happen in America again during our lifetime; if so, how bad would if be; would it mean the breakdown of social order; could it be stopped; could it mean the end of America as we of us know it?
Thank you for reading this, and I think I had a right to ask it. Any answers will be accepted. Again, thank you for reading this.
I would say its likelihood exists but is smaller, mostly because of the small amount of regulations that still exist from the Depression era. And economic/financial panics happen all the time. Just looking at US history shows a panic used to basically happen every 20 years or so.
Not sure if relevant, but the rich-poor division has increased a lot recently. Maybe it will have some effect?
The problem is that the regulation is either no longer relevant because the ultra-rich and banks have found ways around them or were repealed completely, most of the time by politicians bought by the ultra-rich or banks. For example, the Gramm-Leach-Bliley act which repealed Glass-Steagal which prevented banks from making risky investments with other peoples' money. Also, Dodd-Frank, which wasn't very good to begin with but has been torn to shreds by the Republican congress, piece by piece.
Greetings Comrades!

I just changed to Liberal Democratic Socialists. I wonder what that means for the future of my nation.
I guess that means I win by default.
