OOC: Everyone is publicly opposed by some. For me, it's mostly the reformists.

Chadicia wrote:OOC: You're an idiot. Germania is made up of several players, Yas has.. What? One colony? And yes there's a puppet in place but in case you're not aware player routinely use puppets to represent their colonies but that doesn't make them colonies. That's what I do with Scandinavia, it's one of my four colonies and I use a puppet to represent it for convenance sake. It's still a colony and counts towards my limit of four colonies (to which I've already met and thus cannot expand further.) East Valcouria is not a colony, it's conquested land that I gained through war with your friend Val. I RP'd, I fought, I bled, and I won. Colonizing and conquest are two different things and technically speaking there's no limit on how much you can conquest because it's extremely hard to do so. Many nations simply wouldn't consent to it. But the fact if the matter if no one is in violation of the rules.
ALL rules apply to you if you're in this region. Failure to follow them will mean dire consequences for you indeed. You've already made it onto my blacklist, don't make things worse for you.

ooc I was under the impression that conquered territories should be amalgamated into your nation proper, not set up as a puppet government. Good to know.

I suppose I would be scared of being on a blacklist...if your opinion was one that truly mattered. Seeing as you aren't the Despot or a minister, though, I will chalk it up to sour grapes and proceed onward regardless. Glad to have had this talk, though.

OOC: Ignoring him is probably for the best. You will save yourself many headaches.

Marescowl wrote:OOC: Ignoring him is probably for the best. You will save yourself many headaches.

ooc Very duly noted.

OOC: It's the majority. And it's because you think you're above it all that you're pretentious and nose-nosed. You don't think you have to answer to ministers whom hold equal power to you (arguably more pollboy) and think majority support means nothing. You're unfit to be a minister, you're biased, aloof, unfair, and you cause more trouble and arguments then you solve. In fact, all you do is start arguments you've never solved one a day in your life.

OOC: There would be fewer arguments if people were better able to put the pieces together.

OOC: I set up a pepper government because that's just what I do. You don't have to it just seems to be the style.

Don't be scared, just don't expect to ever RP with me.

ooc I think I could respect your conquests more if you did just that; conquer them instead of install a puppet.

I don't think that will be a major issue for me. Even though that might cause trouble in the future if we both end up on the same or opposite sides of an issue or military engagement. Then I believe we would need to reference the Despot's ruling on ignoring other players to resolve the situation.

Marescowl wrote:OOC: There would be fewer arguments if people were better able to put the pieces together.

OOC: And if you do riddle it out, keep it to yourself.

OOC: In he words of the mods themselves "you can't force people to RP." That's all I'll say on this, and this'll be the last time I acknowledge your existence. Good day.

ooc No, but Rps will be less coherent if players don't acknowledge others as being a part of it. But I suppose we will cross that bridge when we get to it.

Also, if by 'acknowledge your existence' you mean 'last time I speak to you,' then all I have to say in response is 'sour grapes and be off.'

ooc How lovely; haven't even formally introduced myself and I've already made someone vow to ignore me. Is this really the norm of this region?

Marescowl wrote:OOC: You would think I was being pretentious.

OOC: Having a rough time, eh, Marescowl? If you want I could ask Cyrod to just give you his main nation, if you think that would help. I'm suuuure he wouldn't have any problem with that.

OOC: That shouldn't be necessary.

Marescowl wrote:OOC: That shouldn't be necessary.

OOC: Suit yourself, Mary; just remember that my door is always open, (assuming I'm not on one of my lengthy vacations, of course!) heh-heh.

Hansdeltania wrote:OOC: Despoticania, can I name Lumingrad as my successor?

OOC: Mmmmaybe. If/when you give up the mapmaking, I'll pick the successor from candidates willing to take the job. Lumingrad might be a pretty solid one.

Marescowl wrote:OOC: I don't think I will. Without my input, Ministerial discourse will be skewed in the opposite direction. It's important to maintain the balance.

Peoples republic of the german states wrote:OOC: In other words, this is a conflict of interest. Alright.

OOC: This would not be the first time that Marescowl has displayed a tendency to ignore conflicts of interests. At least he hasn't attempted to rule in his own favor, like last time.

Marescowl wrote:OOC: If I know Despoticania as well as I think I do, he will agree with my position. And I know him better than I know anyone else.

OOC: If the Despot agrees with your position, then he would a) be contributing to the massive globe-spanning empires that he has publicly criticized on two prior occasions, and b) begun adding exceptions to rules (thus muddling an already confusing mess of opinions and rulings further).

Vasilinople wrote:ooc Yasuragi, Marescowl, Germania...all abuse the puppet rule for their own ends. Even you, with your Scandinavia and East Valcouria puppets.

OOC: Please demonstrate how I have abused the rules for puppets (do we even have rules for puppets...?). If you refer to Hanei and Hapha, you must be aware that ICly, the Greater Empire doesn't annex places directly, but rather prefers to set up puppet governments, which don't parrot the Greater Empire blindly in every situation. I've also been very clear and up-front that Hanei and Hapha are indeed my nations -- as Chadicia has been clear that Scandinavia and East Valcouria are his puppets, and Marescowl has been clear that Cyrod Mare and America Mare are his puppets.

ooc All I remember is Valcouria ranting about how when he was mapmaker he would only allow one puppet per nation to avoid cluttering the map. But like I said, his way is no more, so I don't particularly care if a nation has 100 puppets or not. All the better to control the region, right?

OOC: You could just say something scripted like: "I won't take sides in this affair, which doesn't even matter. Stop bickering like children."

Repeat every time this happens.
