Picos elissa de los tres valles

I think we will be more wise in 11 minutes with the new update

Agreed. As far as I can tell, we are clear but will have to await official word.

Picos elissa de los tres valles

YaY Infection Rate: 0.0% (zero infected, 1.53 trillion survivors)

Attention Texas! The Zombie plague has now been cured within our borders. Keep in mind that other regions are still suffering and therefore the Regional Quarantine is still in place. Thank you.

Picos elissa de los tres valles

Well: Texas, Wysteria & The Heartland are clean

The main problems are in 10KI. I'm not sure why they didn't close their region

Great job Texas!! Zero infected awesome job!

Sorry it took me so long to activate researching a cure I couldn't get on my nation until just now.

Blandings and fenwick

Heading off to fight the hordes.

4th place for survival rates. Not sure if we could bump up to third if we moved some puppets into TX at a strategic moment and then locked the region back down.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone in Texas for making us be all we can be! That was a phenomenal effort by so many. Not only are those who researched a Cure to be commended, but those who spent countless hours curing their fellow region mates are real heroes! That was a thankless task they undertook on behalf of nations they probably do not know and will probably not even be thanked for their efforts. Such uncommon camaraderie is a rare thing and it takes a special region to come together to fight for a common cause. That is what make Texas special.

Thank you Texas! We are a great region! Quite probably, The Bestest Region in all NationStates!™

NewTexas, looks like you guys beat us! :P Well done to you all!

Since it's Halloween, there's some information I thought I should share with everyone.

Back in the early years of NS, there existed a raider who would grief regions during updates. Of course, there were lots of raiders back then, but those that were familiar with him knew about his habit of eating bacon during his raids. This was before founders or delegates could eject nations out of their regions, so he would stay in that region until the mods would delete his nations.

Well, during one of the updates he chose one random region to grief, nothing out of the ordinary. But, that region wasn't filled with ordinary nations. When this raider began griefing, the citizens decided they were having none of that. They threw insults at this raider so terrible it would make your mother cry. The raider, tired of being ridiculed, chose to leave the region, but as soon as he pressed the move button an error occurred with the update mechanism. His nation suddenly disappeared without a trace. Some people believe he relocated to an empty space in NS. Who knows?

At least once a year, someone will report a sighting of a nonexistent nation griefing their RMB and demanding bacon. But when they refresh their window, those posts are erased. There have also been some related disappearances along with those sightings. Many of those cases remain unsolved. So, why am I telling you this now? You see, the original disappearance of the raider happened during Halloween. And the sightings, along with those unfortunate disappearances, also happen each year on Halloween. Those lucky enough to have seen this strange occurance and survived just so happened to have some bacon with them. That's why he's known as the Bacon Lurker. Because of his appetite for bacon... and death.

So, before you go to sleep tonight, be sure to leave some bacon outside your door, or you might wind up as the Bacon Lurker's next victim. Of course with the region under lockdown, there's no chance of that happening. Or is there? ;)

Have a happy Halloween, and stay safe out there!

Good job everyone! Thank you to everyone who helped defend Texas against the Zombie Hordes.

For anyone who's interested in rock climbing, caving, and/or zombies, be sure to visit http://petzlsolutions.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/Zombie-Experience-Web.jpg The Principles of Zombie Escape from our friends at the Petzl Technical Institute. A bit late if you were eaten this year, but you can place your orders now to avoid being eaten again next year.

I hope everyone was able to avoid the Bacon Lurker. Anyone missing?

The Bermudan Omelet for me!

I just got the oddest issue to decide upon. It came with a warning from Admiral Ackbar to dismiss the issue. Anyone know more?
