Judging by the region He jumped to which he couldn't have picked -- out of the bloom -- as its a password protected region.
I doubt they would have been a full working members of Texas cabinet and to judge by his ability to take constructive criticisms about previous moves he tried to make (via wa etc)....well
it kind of speaks for itself.

but it would have been interesting to see someone new in the Capitol building beside the cleaning lady.

For the first time in twelve years I have visited the state fair. By G-d, everything was deep fried. If it wasn't deep fried it was on a stick, and if it wasn't on a stick it was frozen and dipped in chocolate--and then deep fried.

**** New WA Resolution Notification *****

There is currently a new Security Council Resolution at vote. When expressing your opinion, please note which Resolution it is for. And remember Texans, your individual vote does count!

The new Resolution is called:
"Condemn The Invaders
A resolution to express shock and dismay at a nation or region.

Category: Condemnation Nominee: The Invaders Proposed by: Tentacle Kat

Description: Asserting that The Invaders is a"...

<see the Security Council for full text and to vote>

Wow, again, really? Since it is the same topic as last vote, we will repeat what we said last vote in an abbreviated form. Great, now the Security Council wants to try Condemn "The Invaders". Like most invader Condemnations, their exploits detailed above reads like chapter synopses from "How To Be A Dick And Be Proud Of It". They probably should be condemned. They seem to be responsible for much grief if the author is to be believed. We would give them the condemnation, but they would probably like that. We think invaders want Condemnations to wear as a shiny badge of badassness. We think most will agree that no one wants to reward a douchebag for being a douchebag. We don't. Invaders suck. Let's send these authors a big STFU! NewTexas will go on record as AGAINST on this Resolution. This is only the opinion of NewTexas. We look forward to other Texans' opinions and comments on this Resolution. If good arguments to the contrary are made, we will reconsider our position.

The Texas response was up on the last SC vote -- Condemn The Invaders -- which was defeated after gaining only 33.32% of the vote. As a reminder, all we are looking for is a simple 10% of Texans to say one way or another. We are a force for change in the WA. Every vote counts! There were 5 publicly-expressed opinions on the last Resolution with the final Texas tally running 1 FOR and 3 AGAINST and 1 ABSTAIN and 0 UNDECIDED. Texans were somewhat split.

NewTexas has already voted on this Resolution in advance of publicly expressed opinions. We did this at the urging of many leaders in the World Assembly. As we have been saying for years, Texas is a force in the WA. Many feel that Texas can influence the overall vote if it votes first. There is an observed "lemming effect" that occurs during voting. Apparently a large number of votes are cast based on whichever side of the issue is leading when voters vote. Therefore, to get the most impact from our vote, we are now voting first. We will re-evaluate our original vote at midnight prior to the current vote. As always, we are open to suggestions on how we should vote on this Resolution to most accurately reflect opinion of the populace. Comments are welcome from all nations, both WA Members as well as those who are not. Please make your voice heard on the current issue either on this message board or on our offsite message board. But, by all means, please vote on the WA Page!

If you would like to take part in shaping the world you live in, please vote. Voting is a right and a privilege, please consider using it. And, if you are not a member of the World Assembly, we strongly encourage you to join.

All WA Member nations please vote. Please make your opinions known in Texas by 11:00pm Wednesday and in the World Assembly voting booth by 11:00am Texas Time on Thursday the 27th. Current voting in The World is running - Votes FOR: 2328 Votes AGAINST: 9728

Big Tex

PS: Remember, be sure to vote at the World Assembly too!

I hit the wrong answer and now I've went from "Authoritarian Democracy" to "Democratic Socialists". 😥

Sounds like I should visit Texas when there's a State Fair to visit. I like deep fried food and food on a stick. I have never eaten anything frozen, dipped in chocolate and then deep fried but it sounds delicious.

Its nice that they ("the game developers") decided to create more versions of governments in NS but to fabricate a social science term by combining two terms - well that is simply ignorance.

There is no such animal as Authoritarian Democracy. Given the nature of Authoritarian, there can only be Totalitarian democracy.

Thank you! It has been our pleasure to have been able to putter around the Governor's Mansion since 2003. We are feeling very old and stationary. The good thing about being so stationary is that we have had time to make the Mansion pretty sweet. You are all invited up sometime. We have a full 36-hole golf course, complete with a resort guest hotel with all the amenities from a casino to a half dozen nightclubs, multiple fine-dining restaurants, multiple low-brow dining establishments, to an Imax movie theater, to a water park complete with a Ralph the Swimming Pig, to a Petting Zoo (complete with burros and baby goats, bunnies and kittens - it doesn't get any cuter than that (squee, kawaii! for our out-of-town friends)), to a life-size talking statue of us that we lend to the State Fair of Texas annually. Woo! The Texas Governor's Mansion, not just for the Governor anymore!

Texans and our friends from around The World, T-ZERO - the Texas Zombie Emergency Response Operations - is open and planning operations right this very moment. T-ZERO officials will be forthcoming with more information soon. If you plan on joining us Research The Cure and fighting the Zombie Horde with advanced Bio-Weapons, then you need to get here soon! We will be locking the borders immediately prior to the Apocalypse and will not be opening them for anyone, no exceptions. Additionally, if you care caught joining the Zombies in any way, you will be immediately ejected from The Great Region of Texas! There will be a zero tolerance policy in effect on aiding Zombies. You have been warned!

Sometimes the lines get blurry between the two in Texas. That is ok. That is part of what makes Texas great. As our friend Discordia Magna would say, a little chaos is good for the soul or something like that.

For those Texans who wish to Exterminate Zombies With Military Force, then Yggdrasil is the place for you to satisfy your bloodlust. For those Texans who wish to Join Forces With The Zombies, then Wysteria is your region to go to for the ultimate in horror vacations. The borders are open and no passports are required for Texans. Just remember, once we lock down Texas, there is no coming back until the threat has passed. Please read that again. We want no pleading, begging or arguing on that subject.

Texan's please join us in welcoming our friends from not only Yggdrasil and her sister region, and also ally, Valhalla, but also our friends from Wysteria as well as any other allied regions with nations who want shelter from the storm that is coming.

Texas will quell this and quash it quickly with everyone's help!

Knowing the Wysteria consulate in the city of Kyle will be closed how about the embassies and consulates and other diplomatic buildings of Texas we need to either close them and bring home all of our people or at least lock down our people within the embassy and have armed guards watching the perimeters.

This brings back great memories from my childhood pilgramage to visit The Alamo. On the way home, we stopped by Aquarina Springs to meet Ralph the swimming pig! Viva la Texas!

My three nations will choose different options. This is the first time I'm doing anything other than killing, at least with with two of my nations. Don't worry, this nation will help the cure.

We wish to clarify several half stories that were spread in recent days:

One, Wysteria Embassy received no confirmation regarding "head of time" outbursts of zombies in our Home region, although the WSB did post some statistics about Zombies favorite continents (to outburst within).
While there were some discussion within the Government about the way to treat the up and coming threat, An official Government Broadcast (in TV/Net/Papers) hasn't been forward yet.

Second, Wysteria Embassy, The General Consulate & The Honorary Consulate were instructed to help Texas Government in preserving the lives of those living in Texas.

That said, Sanctuary will only be given to Citizens who are members of The Triumvirate (aka: Wysteria, Texas & The Heartland).

According to our calculations, the Zombies will appear around 4pm Eastern time on Sunday.

I'm ready to research a cure like no one ever has before.

Any Texas residents interested in helping with T-Zero planning please check in over at the Department of Health on the off site. There is a thread started there by Richard
