Wow, look at PatrickStar Go! U Da Man! :)

Howdy Jmac of Greenspoint! Long time no talk. Well, 51 days anyway. But it was 235 days more before that! What is up Mr. Former Vice President? Working ridiculously hard or hardly working?

Here's a shout out to another very quiet former Vice Presidents of Texas - Howdy Dewey of Timdauwalter!

Welcome back Marks of Marksvill! We were thinking of you the other day when our local newspaper Sports guy predicted that Johnny Football would never start another NFL game ever. However, 6 months ago, a tear ago, the same could have been said of The Almighty Tebow and look what happened to him last week. OMG, literally!

Speaking of Dallas cowboys texas, the early reviews of their season look favorable and apparently the league thinks so too with 6 'Boys games being televised this season.

Have a good hunting trip Madam Ambassador of Picos elissa de los tres valles. We want at least one venison backstrap and enough sausage to keep it company on the grill!

As for YouTube Indian Empire, the most linked to and the best video on there:

If the browns just give johnny a good offensive front, and TELL THE WIDE RECEIVERS TO HOLD ON TO THE GOD DAMN BALL! then he might play well. If johnny had gone to my cowboys. Not only would he have tony romo (homo :P ) to learn from, he would have dez and would have HAD murray. Then he might have played great. I've been a life long cowboy's fan as well.

We'd have to first pass a nullifying amendment, then convince the Supreme Court that secession wasn't unconstitutional, and then get legislation past the government to allow it, or hope they don't declare war on the new Republic of Texas for possible treason.

It wouldn't be treason if the Federal Government were already commiting treason on the American people and totally disregarding the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. But that is another story.

We're our own sovereign region so we do not need A governor.

Wonder what the post is that was "Suppressed" by a mod?

Must've been pretty bad. I don't think they do that much. And apparently, the nation in question arrived 15 hours ago, posted the message, then left, all in the span of an hour, and now has ceased to exist, most likely deleted by a mod for the message, or others.

Yeah, it seems he has posted on at least Wysteria and Canada, both of which were suppressed by a mod.

***** Texas Saturday Breakfast *****

Yay! Saturday Breakfast Tridux! Today is Breakfast Sandwich III Saturday! WooHootie! We have been having so much fun whipping up one-handed breakfasts over the last two weekends; we are just going to do it again. Today's offerings are just so good, that there will only be two eXtreme Breakfast Bad Boys. How about we start with a El Fregadero Taco de Desayuno - this mammoth breakfast taco has everything in it including the kitchen sink! It starts with a full 12" handmade flour tortilla smeared with refried beans, topped with Texas farm-fresh, hand-picked, hen-house, Grade A, golden yellow scrambled eggs, crumbled, spicy in-house-made chorizo, ultra-crispy bacon, shredded Longhorn Jack cheese, several slices of perfectly-ripe avocado, a small scoop of Spanish rice, all topped off with ooey-gooey jalapeño queso and your choice of salsa, all wrapped tightly and made just for you! While it is hard to top that, we will. We have been saving the best for last. We present The Luther, Breakfast Edition. As Luther would say, Oh Baby! This breakfast sandwich starts off with a super-fresh, deep-fried, generously-glazed, Krispy Kreme donut sliced in half and thrown on the grill to really krisp it up. A full quarter pound sausage "patty" made from whole hog, Texas pork loaded with the perfect blend of sage, maple and chili flakes make it more of a "burger" than a patty. That is thrown on the grill next to the donut. To send this sucker over the top, a couple of strips of Texas Pecan-smoked, thick-slab bacon are fried up to top the patty. This buddy would not be complete without cheese, so when we assemble it, we put a thick slice of Velveeta on the bottom donut, add the patty, top with the bacon, add a handful of extra-sharp Cheddar quickly melted under the salamander, and all topped off with the other donut half. Want to go psycho? Jut say, "Make it a double!" and we will throw an extra patty on there. As the immortal Macho Man would say, Oooooooh Yeah! It doesn't get much better than this Pardner! We hope you have as much fun with these modern marvels of the kitchen as we have. For the health conscious, we are afraid you will have to have the Liquid Breakfast today. The Juice Bar is open with all the standard juices - Orange, Apple, Grapefruit and Tomato. We will even fire up the Super Juicer for Strawberry, Banana or Kiwi juice. Try "The Suicide" - we dare you! Start your day off the right way, munch out and go back to sleep. Of course, The Never Ending Urn of Coffee is full and ready to help you wash it all down. Come on down and start your day right Texas. You know you want to!®

The Texas Weekly Chat Session will be Saturday (TODAY) at High Noon Texas Time (CDT) ***Saturday*** in the Chat Forum on the offsite forum. We have an all new Chat Site this year that is much better than the old one. It is here if you want to go straight there: http://texasregion.net/blab70/login.php This is a great opportunity for nations old and new to Texas to find out what is going on! We chat, we debate, we talk about the weather, we talk about stuff we like, stuff we hate, random stuff and more stuff. But, it is never stuffy. Usually, it is about meeting your fellow Texans and talking about the latest and most interesting stuff in NationStates at the moment. But then again, sometimes NationStates does not even come up. It is wide-open chatting with peeps from around The World both IRL and NS. Texas Chat, 536 weeks and running! For the math-challenged, that is over 10½ years! Check it out! Good stuff!

**** New WA Resolution Notification *****

There is currently a new Security Council Resolution at vote. When expressing your opinion, please note which Resolution it is for. And remember Texans, your individual vote does count!

The new Resolution is called:
"Condemn the Pacific
A resolution to express shock and dismay at a nation or region.

Category: Condemnation Nominee: the Pacific Proposed by: Jean Pierre Trudeau

Description: The Security Council,

Recognizing that the New Pacific Order (NPO)"...

<see page=sc for full text>

Woo, the Lazarus coup-related legislation just keeps on rolling in the Security Council. Next target - The Pacific. While Texas once had an embassy with The Pacific, back in the Mammothistan Era in 2005, we have no respect for what the New Pacific Order did to Lazarus. Their meddling needs to be punished so that new arrivals can know that they have arrived in a less-than-nice Feeder. NewTexas will go on record as FOR on this Resolution. This is only the opinion of NewTexas. We look forward to other Texans' opinions and comments on this Resolution. If good arguments to the contrary are made, we will reconsider our position.

The Texas response was flat on the last SC vote -- Repeal "Commend A mean old man" -- which was passed after gaining 89.84% of the vote. As a reminder, all we are looking for is a simple 10% of Texans to say one way or another. We are a force for change in the WA. Every vote counts! There were 6 publicly-expressed opinions on the last Resolution with the final Texas tally running 3 FOR and 2 AGAINST and 1 ABSTAIN and 0 UNDECIDED. Texans were pretty split.

NewTexas has already voted on this Resolution in advance of publicly expressed opinions. We did this at the urging of many leaders in the World Assembly. As we have been saying for years, Texas is a force in the WA. Many feel that Texas can influence the overall vote if it votes first. There is an observed "lemming effect" that occurs during voting. Apparently a large number of votes are cast based on whichever side of the issue is leading when voters vote. Therefore, to get the most impact from our vote, we are now voting first. We will re-evaluate our original vote at midnight prior to the current vote. As always, we are open to suggestions on how we should vote on this Resolution to most accurately reflect opinion of the populace. Comments are welcome from all nations, both WA Members as well as those who are not. Please make your voice heard on the current issue either on this message board or on our offsite message board. But, by all means, please vote on the WA Page!

If you would like to take part in shaping the world you live in, please vote. Voting is a right and a privilege, please consider using it. And, if you are not a member of the World Assembly, we strongly encourage you to join.

All WA Member nations please vote. Please make your opinions known in Texas by 11:00pm Monday and in the World Assembly voting booth by 11:00pm Texas Time on Tuesday the 28th. Current voting in The World is running - Votes FOR: 5828 Votes AGAINST: 638

Big Tex

PS: Remember, be sure to vote at the World Assembly too!

I'd really like to hear the opinions on those who've voted against this resolution, unless it's something along the lines of "it's what they want". I'm honestly curious, though, not trying to convince them to change their vote.

How does one get a plot of land on the Texas map?

Liberterion wrote:How does one get a plot of land on the Texas map?

I don't think that is in service anymore. But If someone wants the TRC to start a new one, just ask.

The Texas Land Commission is alive and well thank you very much! The forum for requests is here: http://z1.invisionfree.invalid.com/Texas/index.php?showforum=43 There is a 30-day citizenship requirement before being placed on the map.

I do ask that you do this outside. The smell of burning corpse is rather unsettling to some.

True. But he would be learning from a guy like romo. Romo did say, if the cowboy's drafted johnny, he would be willing to take johnny under his wings.
