Perfect record in what sense? Also what do you consider the "wrong gender"? As I understand your question right now, it's "If Cruz chose a VP who is 'wrong' would he be wrong?" Also, if you plan on discussing this issue, please give me the courtesy of answering my telegrams on it.

I'm sorry. You're quite correct in asking me to reply back to your telegrams. My point was that if Cruz had nominated a woman to be VP at all, you would have said that it was a wrong choice because she was a woman. By perfect, I meant an otherwise ideal candidate who happened to be a woman (for the sake of your criteria, a woman with no children or husband)

You're asking me an impossible question (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Double-barreled_question). That's analogous to asking 'so and so is the perfect fit for pre-school except he is 50 years old, would you let him in?' She can't be an ideal candidate if she is not using her God given talents in the proper way.

And he won this region's presidential election against the "establishment" as Ovybia has sometimes labeled it.

It is surprising how much support he got after being in the region for less than a month.

It is surprising how much support Donald Trump got after being in politics for less than a month.

Let's not compare Saint Peter to Donald Trump. SP became popular through his charm; Trump became popular because the Republican sheep heard what they wanted to hear and blindly ran after it, with no regard to Trump's character, history, or even anything he said that wasn't rhetoric. Trump is a narcissist; SP was nothing of the sort. I do hope he's alright...

The patrimony of saint peter wrote:The president does have the authority to ban Muslims. It isn't a question of if. I don't care that he 'can' ban Christians, it won't happen. Just over 50% of Muslims in America want Sharia law. If we permit this population to grow, especially given the impending rise of the Muslim tide from so-called refugees from the Middle East, America will reflect the UK. The kibosh needs to be put down on this nonsense. Trump's immigration policy is in step with my opinions on the matter

I was... shall we say... not a fan of Pete. But I must agree with Ovybia and Phydios that he had a certain charm and sense of sincerity that Trump completely lacks.

Thank you CoL, it means a lot!

Rest in Peace to Joe Plunkett, Ed Daly, Mick O'Hanrahan, and Willie Pearse who were shot in Kilmainham Gaol today, and all the other leaders of the 1916 Easter Rising that were killed this week. I feel blessed to share my birthday with their parting.

To the Cruz supporters, I was wondering who you will support in this election; Hillary, Trump, maybe a third party (Go Austin Petersen or Gary Johnson)?
