The answer is yes, but it's not the obvious one.

Fuzzy Math?

Is that like Fuzzy Logic?

Maybe yes? Maybe no?

The difference is in what's called significant digits. Plain old 90,000 implies a possibility of being between 85K and 95K. 90,000.0 implies a possibility of being between 89,999.5 and 90,000.5.

My numerics don't work like that. I see the correlation between the decimal and rounding but I don't see it for the trio symbolizing thousands. They would be rounded to the nearest ten. That is the last significant digit to me. The last was obviously a time. It doesn't really work as a coordinate.

We love our rats too. Our AI cats do.

Welcome to P115: Drugocracy! You'll fit right in! (pulling up a seat next to NONNY)

I have been playing this game since 2005. I have strived to be a good player in all that time, learning the rules, being taught(and teaching) how to interact with eloquence and grace and to try to open my eyes beyond what was being shoved down my throat. When I finally moved a nation here is when a balance was struck between that which is insane and that which is not.

It is a most refreshing place and a far cry from 'Life in the big city' so to speak.
I just wanted to take time to express this and to share where my mind was at here.
You guys are like the oasis in the desert. A fresh drink of water. A haven where I can let my mind play with others without fear of being bullied or judged because of what I may say and or think. A place to grow(so to speak) beyond what other regions claim to offer but often cannot deliver.

I thank you for allowing me to express this

I came to P115 just a few month ago. Had my tail between my legs as it were, and was about to trash the whole social thing. Too many people being jerks just for the sake of being jerks.
As time went on I found P115 to be an awsome place to toss about any subject out and have a frindley and and at times silly discussion with no personal attacks, name calling or that sort of thing.
It is quite zen like.

Sorry for any of the spelling bombs... Don't have functiong spell check on the Dell of Disappointment :)

The Dell from Hell,lol

The missus got one for xmas, came with XP. I couldn't get a Linux OS on it fast enough after Micro$oft dropped their support. I started using Linux after I was fretting about having to come up with the ransom that Micro$oft was asking for the upgrade to Windoze7/8 when I found a site that had a bunch of distros(distributions) of Unix/Linux on it. I tried various OS's, Fedora, Debian, Ubuntu(and it's variants). I finally settled on Linux Mint 13(Maya) and have been very happy since. I currently run LM 17.1 Rebecca 32 bit(I can run the 64 bit, but like the 32 bit version on my machine). Desktop gui is MATE rather than Cinnamon so as to avoid some driver issues. The missus runs LM 17 and I keep both machines humming along nicely.

I have a pile of computers running about anything I can get to work. The Dell of Disappointment is an old Inspiron 1200 using Puppy Linux on a 2 gig flash drive (no hard drive). I use Mint on an old HP all in one at the shop. Getting the drivers for that thing was kinda of a pain but Mint played nice with the touch screen and it works well..

Go here for choosing distros.

New Europe has opened the poll on Valentine's Day. Feel free to leave a vote or a comment or both.

Hi, could we have more polls please?
On any question or matter; answering them regardless makes us think on any subject for a concentrated period.

I have virtually voted AGAINST "War Crimes Tribunal" purely because it does not define what a war crime actually is, or it does, it remains very much so short on the detail. I don't mind vagueness - somewhat - but I think the document, as it stands, should not be enacted. The current vote from our WA members is in favour of the resolution. Please telegram me, or post on the RMB for a change in regional vote.

I have voted AGAINST Repeal "Liberate The Mountains to the East". A quick look at their RMB tells me that they wish to remain liberated and have that security in case of a future raid. The regional vote is in line with our WA members here.

Most Devout

top 1000: no one

bottom 100: Microglup, Macroglup, New old new new york
bottom 1000: Anarch, Indiscretions Mum, Hoosier, PA Terror, Skywalker, Sunrise (but NOT our ambassador from Atheist Empire! Oh, the shame!) ;)

Red skywalker

What the f*ck happened? Last time this one came up Micro was 7th least devout in NS!

I can think of two things that've changed that could've affected your nation as to drop several places:

(1) the recent "rejiggling" of NS--many of my nations have experienced severe alterations; and

(2) you're in a different region. I cringe a little inside when 'Most Civil Rights' and 'Most Civil Freedoms' come around. We might have 2-3 nations with 100% in those categories, all in a giant tie for first place, but maybe they don't even make it into the world top 1000 because of the timing rank of P115.

:(

Welcome (and welcome back) to The everdying sean bean and Seasea!

RIP, United sunarctica and reykjanes.

Valentine's Day isn't observed in my house, not because my partner and I don't have romantic feelings for each other, but it does seem a very commercial affair. The price of roses shoots up and you can't get a table in your favourite restaurant. Our little gestures to each other happen on other days of the year.

My wife and I do not observe V-Day either. We do not need to be told when to be romantic. We don't celebrate Sweetest Day in October either, which is purely a Hallmark Holiday - and they don't even try to hide it! At least the February people had the common decency to invent a martyr to name their holiday after, the October people didn't even bother with that.

I wonder where the rightwing "War on Valentine's Day" and "Keep the SAINT in 'Saint Valentine's Day' people are at???

Other: Valentine's Day is the second worst day of the year to go out to eat at a restaurant due to long wait times, poor service and poorer tipping practices. The worst day of the year to do so is Mother's Day.

Which is why I'd rather stay home with my kids on Mother's Day. Give me a sandwich and their company any day!
