3 BILLION PEOPLE!!! it's amazing!

Republic of british russia

I've been thinking about this for awhile, but the UK may have left the EU, but what if we were to set up something like the federation, on a international scale, bigger and better than the EU and UN, it's focus is to progress humanity to the stars rather than focus on Earth, our planet won't be here for long and if we don't stop bickering about primitive fossil fuel, we can make this work, the whole planet united, no differences, just Humanity. but that won't happen, *sign* even though I was one year from voting, I've been going over in my head about whether or not Brexit was a good outcome, yeah sure I was all aboard for Brexit, the idea of independence and helping ourselves and yeah the pound went down but it will recover. but remaining would see that nothing would happen, things would remain normal, but the EU from the looks of it weren't focused on progressing our species further and into space.

It will never work and will never happen. People are different and the only way to change that would be to destroy every single culture in the world and replace it with a diluted shadow of all of them, the end result of degenerate globalistic multiculturalism..
We'll also never leave the solar system, so it's not worth even bothering. Humanity's domain is earth and the planets near it, not anywhere else.

Going at the speed of light, it would take us *4 years* to go to Alpha Centauri. It's just too far. 4 years is a long time.

Also there's the issue of not dying whilst going that speed and well... getting to that speed

Also quick Question here, how many people here have seen Sean of the Dead?

yeah, but it'll be worth it, 4 years may seem like a long time, but it isn't really

If such is the way forward, then so be it. If we must tear down the rotten corpse of the old world to build something new and better atop the ashes, that's simply the price we must pay. Its about investment mate, we don't want to invest in the future because people are impatient. They don't see that if you put 100 billion dollars a year into colonizing and exploring space now, 100 years in the future, our children's children will live free in the stars and no longer have anything to fear from limited resources or overpopulation. But people don't understand that investment is a good thing. They just see money going down a hole when it could be going to something else with more immediate effects.

Human beings are way too nearsighted as a species and if we don't shake that dogma we deserve nothing less than to die in the cold vacuum of space to make way for a race that has.

So, I'm happy that the UK has finally pulled out of the EU, but my question is, who will take Cameron's place as Prime Minister?

I don't' know, hoping it would be Farage, though it won't happen till October, that's when he is resigning

Invest in space. You're the reason humanity is going to die right where it was birthed.

I remember Mason's said that traditionally, the Chancellor takes the spot in a situation like this. But unfortunately George Osborne was for staying.

It is not possible to go at the speed of light, so investing in it is useless and a waste of money. It's not near sighted, it's not stupid.

Fantrum wrote:Invest in space. You're the reason humanity is going to die right where it was birthed.

Read above. We were born here and we will die here, like it is meant to be.
