There's no election happening. The conservatives will still have their majority and Boris is looking like the next in line for the conservative leader.

Comic relief (maybe): Is there an Abandon Hope party because I really feel like abandoning hope in humanity? ... I don't want to tell my grandchildren that what happened in year 2016... not only we didn't go any forward we went backwards... the lack of scientific fundings, corporate enterprises becoming even more involved in the democratic process, rise of the far right in Europe and Justin Trudeau's elbow... what a great year it has been so far... The 25th of June, War in Korea.

The Korean War, Known in the west as the 'Forgotten' war or the 'Unknown' war and in the DPRK as the 'Fartherland Liberation War'

On the 25th of June 1950, after countless confrontations between The DPRK and the RoK, the Korean People's Army marched across the 38th Parallel, a line drew to divide the Korean People into a Free, People's Korea and a Western Anti-Communist Puppet State.

KPA troops marched down the Peninsula on the path of Liberation, the Puppet Korea's Capital, Seoul falling within days. Within 2 months of the war, Korea was all most totally Liberated untill the Western Imperialists intervened in the "defense" of South Korea, pushing the KPA back.

China and the USSR came in to help the DPRK along with medical and material aid form the People's Republics in East Europe and Mongolia.
The Korean War would rage on for 3 years, until a cisefire and Armistice on the 27th of July 1953.

This brave attempt to Expel the US and other Western Imperialist forces from Korea has gone down in the hearts and minds of all freedom and peace-loving people as a vallient Struggle against imperialism, Colonialism and Capitalism.
The Revolutionaries of that time as well as today Remember this day, a day in which a Small but Determined Nation stood and continues to stand Up to America, to imperialism and to Capitalism.

I'd say I agree with your post. Though at the present time the Brexit is a rallying point for reactionaries and was largely fueled by nationalistic, anti-immigration garbage, there are definitely some good sides to it; British leftists should seize this opportunity rather than wallow in negativity. The EU is a fundamentally neoliberal institution, one that will always be against leftists (as demonstrated in Greece). Scotland going independent would give the left there a huge boost and also potentially hurt the UK as a military power with their Trident program (which is extremely unpopular among Scots) being located there.

Korea Space Association Organized in DPRK

Pyongyang, June 27 (KCNA) -- The Korea Space Association came into being in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, commencing its operation.
The association is a non-governmental organization that groups scientists and technicians, university teachers and researchers engaged in the field of space technology and its application.

Its mission is to promote the peaceful development and utilization of space, a wealth common to mankind, through brisk academic exchanges at home and abroad.
According to its Chairman Ri Won Chol, vice-president of Kim Chaek University of Technology, the association will sponsor the seminar on space science and technology-2016 in November as its first action program.

He said:

The theme of seminar, to be held divided into space materials and elements, basic science, applied technology, social science and other sections, is "The Building of Civilized Socialist Power and the DPRK's Space Science and Technology".

Presented to it will be papers on the validity and vitality of the policy of the Workers' Party of Korea and the DPRK government for the peaceful space development, the interpretation of home and foreign space-related laws and the technology of computer-aided analysis into satellite images on natural disasters, forest distribution, crop harvest and fishing-ground situation.

Ri expressed the association's willingness to closely cooperate with space-related international bodies and aerospace organizations of other countries on the principles of equality, reciprocity and mutual replenishment and perfection. -0
