Do you perhaps want an ally Asterdel?
Asterdel and Mexipines
Should we just drop the vote then and call it a day?
Eylandia, The Baltic Alliance, Vulkanas, Aboveland, and 2 othersSorlovia, and Sygnafylki
I actually thought about being your actual neighbor because there was no one near you. I wanted sea access though because taking the islands didnt make sense to me without it. So I got as close as I could.

This theme really does suit President Peretsov perfectly! Strength and an iron-resolve, he is not the type of leader who will be able to be pushed around by anyone. Firm in his decisions, confidence in his own standing and tireless in his commitment to his nation. He is strong enough to take on the Baltican Government toe-to-toe and keep up with even their toughest politicians.
He is a nationalist, in the sense that he will always work to further his nation and its interests. He is committed to making Sorlovia strong and prosperous again but he is not an ultra-nationalist by any means. Peretsov uses diplomacy as the preferred means of diffusing a situation only resorting to armed conflict if no another means are possible. He is highly intelligent, highly charismatic and a real political powerhouse. Look out Nordic Lands!

Game of Thrones time! Interesting how House Lannister claims to be so thorough in destroying its enemies but left three Stark children alive. Maybe they're losing their touch with all that inbreeding? In time the Wolf will lay the Lion low and lie down with the Dragon. The Stag is dead and the Rose has wilted even the Sun Spear has broken. Only the Wolf and the Dragon remain...and we all now know the true origins of Jon Snow...
I have no idea what any of that means
The Baltic Alliance and Sorlovia
It's a reference to the extremely popular TV show Game of Thrones. A fan of the series will understand what I just said.
Quick question: When we are writing up histories and stuff, do we use current real world ideals, such as the languages Russian or Spanish, or events like the Battle of Hastings or the Hundred Years' War, a mixture of the two, or are we expected to have a completely unrelated history to real world events and languages?
Check out my factbook Sorik. I use Russian as the national language of Sorlovia and I know Bienvia also uses Russian as an official language. So partially yes, we do use real-life languages and religions but I'm not so sure about events like the Battle of Hastings. Personally, I prefer to stay away from those real-life events and instead create my own historical events.
What were you thinking of? To give you an idea, Sorlovia and Bienvia have been involved in each other's history numerous times right back to the Ice Age. An ancient Sorlovian warlord even once conquered northern Bienvia.
You can do whatever you like really. I toyed with the idea of a Russian-dialect Sorlovian language for awhile but ended up going for Russian itself due to my nation's location. My whole nation is very Russian right down to the names of cities and individuals. Even its culture and customs are heavily Russian.

In terms of vocal and musical style the Sorlovian National Anthem will be similar to the Russian one. With all that flare and inspiring style and of course, it will be sung in Russian.
Technically you only have orange and red. So that's not really tricolor. Are those black outlines around the Nordic Cross? Still don't know if that could be considered tricolor as such.
Hey, forgot to say this, but I'll likely be inactive RP wise for the next two weeks as I'm going on vacation.

Every time Baltic mentions that Baltican politician with Gandalf in his name I just keep picturing this;
