I had my fun so far as well. I loved how they expanded Spike's role a bit, still being a bit of a comic relief, but with a bit more meaning then simply that.
Hi.

Hello, everyone, especially Teuton, welcome back. Sorry for my limited participation recently, my internet has been out and my phone is very slow. I will try to do better, and I should have proper internet within a few days.

Thanks and no problem.

What I really liked in the character development department has been Fluttershy, she's actually taken some major leaps and bounds, leaps and bounds that are actually seeable in other episodes. Up until this point it's kind of felt like she's taken one step forward, only to take two steps back. But now she's actually pretty fricken awesome, proof being the Tank episode, Discord episode, and the very newest Halloween one. Anways, I'm just getting really excited to see the rest of the season at this point, and with the news that season 6 is coming this year, all the more hype is to be had!

Oh, and Fallout 4 is coming out next Tuesday, I can't contain life at this point, the hype is too much, nerdgasms are occurring of their own accord, I fear for the others around me, and I pray it won't be too late to save them from when I internally com bust.

Yes, Fluttershy made a lot of positive progress as well. It's good to see, that the makers of the show know, how to make developments, without deleting the core of the character.
Who also made a lot of progress is Gummy. He never struck me as a philosopher, not with that mistress. ;)

Sadly, my schedule has me miss the show. Can someone give me a quicklist (Like a Factbook list, if desired) of all that has happened?
Post by The order of the teutonic knights suppressed by Td80.
Well, there is always VoD, isn't there? It's how I usually watch it, being from Germany and all...

So uh... John Cena?

Who's he?

Kinda like Rick roll but completely different
Oh hey, so I'm working on an RP atm, I've done one before and it was actually pretty successful, I don't expect anyone to join it or anything, but once I do manage to get it out, I was curious to see if anyone would be interested in joining, I'm on my phone so I can't give the full details, but if I do do (HAH!) An rp I just want to get a sort of idea of the number of people I'll definitely see.

You have my interest. Once you aren't on your phone anymore, could you please post some specifics?

I liked the episode 100 and the last one, too.

Yeah, Gummy-Induced Existential Crisis. Makes one think, though.

It's pretty great that I was born a few days before they release every major game
Post by The order of the teutonic knights suppressed by Td80.
I can imagine. I was born in June, so I have a rather equal spread of gifting opportunities, if I could ever think of something to wish for... problem for me is, that most modern games, including Fallout 4 and Anno 2205, simply don't take my fancy. It's startling how repetetive videogames have become, how little innovation and risk is in it (if one takes many indie-titles out of the picture, which are a thing for themselves).
That, and I neither like to register for Steam nor any other service of that kind. Does anyone remember the good old days, when copy-protection of videogames was a long sequence of random numbers and letters?
Post by Ilaris suppressed by Td80.
And I'd balls up the sequence at some point and have to go through and fix the ls and 1s XD, those were the Times.
But times change, and developers, especially ones of good games are always under the threat of pirates, making these video games could be their only source of income, even big companies need to pay their employees, and as pirates get more and more creative with the advancement of technology, so too do the developers. I honestly don't mind going through a lot of the efforts to get a game working, as long as it's not invasive. Most of the time it's understandable, although In some cases it's not, it really depends.
On the subject of originality, I guess, once again, it all gets boiled down to money, maybe the risk for some isn't worth it, and consumer demands make a lot of the more popular titles a Rinse Dry Repeat, with a fresh coat of paint. However I enjoy titles like Fallout, because those RPG games that allow you to be in a whole new world are just appealing to me, and as technology gets better and better, the game's immersivness just gets better and better, allowing them to do more, and it's fun, I may not be looking for new game ideas, because I like what I've already got. But every now and then I will pick up something like Flower or Journey, or other indie title games, because, in the end, we have the ability to pick and choose what we really want.
In the end, it matters what you think is the most fun, because time enjoyed isn't time wasted. So, people can go ahead and have their Cods and Fifas, if they are enjoyable for somebody, than they've done their purpose.
But hey, that's just my opinion.
Post by The order of the teutonic knights suppressed by Td80.
I think, that you do have a few points. The Indie-Market is on the rise, which gives you good (and sometimes not so good) alternatives, we have the ability to choose.
However, much like the movies, I believe, that videogames can be art. Or political critically. Or otherwise interesting for my colleagues in Cultural Sociology. Or especially for my department here in History (History of the Videogame - technologically, socially, continue the list at your own discretion). The money-grabbing has reached this medium, where fresh air is needed - and then, something like the Wii comes. Innovation at last, something new, something extraordinary, never mind that it has a few child's deseases, it is new! A departure from the norm!
And then it drops off in sales. People don't buy it for whatever reason.
Don't we, as gamers, want to be spoon-fed our same old titles, same old concepts, same old tropes, just in a shiny new package?
Post by Ilaris suppressed by Td80.
True True, but then again, objects like the Oculus Rift and VR technology is on the rise, it's only a matter of time... HOLODECKS!
Post by The order of the teutonic knights suppressed by Td80.
That would be fun. And more interactive (hopefully) then any game could ever hope to be.

RIP Time, too much Fallout 4
