We lost 34 nations today; let us take some time to remember how little their players cared about NationStates. And...that's enough time.
I'm kind of glad that these purges will be occurring before the zombie invasion; now our percentage of actively curing nations should be higher!
Pure savagery.
Wait, we get to have a zombie apocalypse? Sweet. I'll bring high explosives When is this exactly?
Yes. I do Tris in the Spring and go all out running in the Fall.
Not long now, check in often on the news updates, and watch your nation page.
I've got three kids to take out treating plus handing out candy when we get back so I won't be on much like the first few invasions, but I'll at least check in enough to get the cure going.

The generals have a saying:
"Rather than make the first move
it is better to wait and see.
Rather than advance an inch
it is better to retreat a yard."
This is called
going forward without advancing,
pushing back without using weapons.
There is no greater misfortune
than underestimating your enemy.
Underestimating your enemy
means thinking that he is evil.
Thus you destroy your three treasures
and become an enemy yourself.
When two great forces oppose each other,
the victory will go
to the one that knows how to yield.

What is … ?
So how does this whole zombie apocalypse thing work, anyway?
I read the news thing about it, but it wasn't that specific.
Does it pop up in our Issues box or something?
Research a cure, which helps to lower your region's infection rate. Enough nations working together can slow or stop the spread of zombies and even begin to turn infected back into survivors. However, this takes time.

Once it begins (timer on the news page will help with watching for that) load your nation page and look for the options, they will be impossible to miss.
After that, things start moving fast. Plus if you get cure missiles, try to target them at inactive nations so you don't interfere with the active nations ((check the activity at the bottom of the nation page you are targeting)
It can be frustrating when you are in the middle of firing off cures and get hit with one yourself :)
Once it starts happening the learning curve will reduce, seeing it in action is a great teacher and it's not hard.
We should prepare for the ZDay
idk how tho....
We just did :). Check the last few posts.
Allow me to summarize:
Research cure the moment it becomes available.
Pay attention to your cure missiles the moment you get them. Before using them check the following:
Look to see who is using them by referring to the activities listed on their nation page and do NOT TARGET THEM unless they request it, if you hit them it disrupts their ability to cure others.
Instead target nations who are not actively firing cure missiles.
Repeat until we have 0% infection rate and/or the event ends.
Once you have developed your super weapon you can upgrade it: do so
Cures work best on larger populations, as the cures take effect there is a rate of diminishing returns, so focus on taking out larger numbers rather than bringing infection rates to zero.
Any other questions? :)

My teachings are easy to understand
and easy to put into practice.
Yet your intellect will never grasp them,
and if you try to practice them, you'll fail.
My teachings are older than the world.
How can you grasp their meaning?
If you want to know me,
look inside your heart.
