The skilled technicians that had nearly ruined what remained of DeltaOne's financial institutions were hard at work, even so late into the night. There was talk of an op in the works, and as the section commanders reported into the briefing room, their suspicions were confirmed. Sitting at the head of the table was General Kuznetzov-head of Cyber Command. They filed in and took their seats, the lights dimming as individual consoles displayed the data for their briefing.
"Comrades, it has been decided that a grevious act of aggression has been made against the Motherland which cannot be overlooked. The Politburo commends your work with DeltaOne, and now feels we are ready for an even larger committment. Therefore, starting at 1400 Commonwealth Mean Time; we shall begin a coordinated effort with our sister bases located throughout the country."
"Comrade-General," a rigid-faced Colonel addressed candidly. "We are eager to fulfill our patriotic duty-but what is our objective?"
"A good question," the general nodded. "It is quite simple, really...we will see if the new delegate can work...off the grid," he chuckled.

"Mr. Chairman, take us to heightened alert. Interesting things are afoot." President for Life Jacob Ward set his report down, and considered the Chairman of the War Department. The report read of the Politburo's discussions in the CFUS, and the general aggressive footing that they wished to be taking. It appeared that war was possibly afoot, and the years of military preparation, and constant training, and constant spending might be needed.
"Ready long range weapons, and issue a general recall of the troops. Increase the training budgets, and conduct some live fire exercises. Good stuff for morale, in light of the situation. With what we're potentially looking at in the region, one or more of the active parties involved in this might issue a request for aid. Of course, we have to pick our side carefully, and throw our ... considerable military resources in at the right moment."
Chairman Wayne simply nodded. "I'll meet with the heads of the branches, and start preparing things, Sir. We'll put the Navy on some exercises near the affected areas, and increase the carrier rotation. We can easily put a few CBGs out there, which should help to lend to diplomatic relations... Heh."
With that, the President nodded. "Good. And while we're at it, we'll also include orders to start staging the rail lines, and prepare for additional troop movements. Bring the heavy divisions of the armored corps of the Army ready, in case we have to make a quick strike. That's all for now, Mr. Chairman. I believe we both have preparations that need making."
