I was doing it using Microsoft paint, which obviously wasn't the best tool for it and it meant having a map that didn't look very good in my opinion. But you can use whatever kind of software you like. You'll also need to post it somewhere, perhaps the forum, where members can easily find it.

I can give you a blank copy of the map I was using if you want to keep using that one. I liked it because it was really big. But feel free to use whatever map you want.

If you are willing to be the regional cartographer, I'll add your name to the WFE so that people know to ask you for spots. You'll have to add them to the map, maintain the map so that nations which stop playing are removed after an appropriate amount of time, and mediate player map requests so that people don't take too much space or hog terribly "important" spots. You'll have to exercise your own judgment in determining how large a space a nation should have and things like that.

We don't. You'll notice that Mordor is a Defender region. If you scroll up to the top of the page you'll see the nice "Defender" tag we sport. This is because we here in Mordor don't believe in destroying other people's hard work just for kicks and giggles. Instead Mordor goes out and stops raiders across Nationstates. You can find out more and participate in that by joining the Forces of Mordor.
