190 days ago Kanistor Hello. My nation has (in my opinion) a great story behind it:

In the year 2110 a Martian pod landed in my nation on earth. Scientists kept 11 of these in containment. 3 were killed within a year, and 7 or the 8 died in the next 3 years.

In 2014 a Martian invasion scoured the rest of the world searching the lost Martian. Kanistor, the last nation to be searched, worked to build a rocket to colonize the moon. As the invasion started about 1 million people scrambled into the rocket before it launched. The rocket made it through the atmosphere cleanly and the landing on the moon seemed imminent. However, the shuttle missed the moon as it moved out of path.

The shuttle drifted for several years, then eventually crashed on Mars in 2125. The colonists went into a series of underground tunnel networks where the colonists established small cities.

Eventually, with supplies dwindling, all colonists grabbed Martian assault rifles and invaded the Martian capital. From there, the Empire of Kanistor was founded.
180 days ago Neuschwyz Howdy y'all! Guten aben! A brief backstory on Neuschwyz (New Switzerland):

In the late 21st century, as Mars was opened for colonization, the peoples of the European Union became increasingly regimented and stifled in the corporatist-socialist vein. The Swiss in particular felt their sovereignty betrayed and their independent way of life threatened after joining the EU and experiencing the tightening social controls of the European elite, headquartered in Brussels.

As such, many of the Swiss decided to strike out to Mars, to build a new, free life as farmers, traders, mineral prospectors, entrepreneurs and inventors. On the Red Planet they eventually established the Republic of Neuschwyz, located on a mountainous, forested peninsula jutting into the new Northern Ocean.

This free nation, established on a republican foundation combining libertarian, anarchist, social democratic and radical liberal principles, quickly flourished, attracting many freedom-seeking immigrants from Earth, especially from the countries of Central Europe (Germany, Austria, Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia), and their corresponding minorities (Turks, Africans, Roma Gypsies). Together, these people have built a prosperous nation built on freedom, voluntary cooperation, massive popular participation in government, and egalitarian social and economic relations.
