I am not running them am cannot until I am added as an admin on the forum. I could help but I am currently working two jobs so time is tight.

Death penalty should fall under a nation's sovereignty to do as they please. Perhaps the League could outlaw it for League-level punishment, but the nations could keep it. Like if the US Federal govt. banned it, but the states could still decide if they want it our not for state-level offenses.

I concur with the Captain. I would support a region level ban and allow nations to adopt it for themselves if they want. Capital punishment is very expensive in the long run and mistakes can happen that lead to the death of innocent people, my nation outlawed it for that reason.

It's only expensive if you let it. The reason that it is expensive in the US is because we allow unlimited appeals, and we provide public defenders, so the govt. pays both sides.

Considering the Captain's reasoning, if LoT were to allow the death penalty then appeals and other costs need to be taken into account! In a moral way, I still don't support it for my particular nation.

While I agree with the position of both the Captain and Reihotur and would encourage legislation banning the death penalty at the regional level, I believe that we must focus on the immidiate needs of the region. We suffer from bouts of inactivity because of the way the House is designed, it excludes almost everyone from the decision making process. I believe that one of the things we must tackle first is the permanent establishment of a Open House of Tides to create more incentive for activity in the region. It is imperative for the wellbeing of our region and I ask the Speaker and all members of the region to support such an idea.

Thanks,
Astesia

For those of you who are unaware, the allied republics has fallen to a coup by its founder. He has abused his constitutional powers and gone on a rampage.

As such, the government of TAR has relocated the official residence to New TAR, we ask for your support in this time.

We would request that you close your embassy with the illegitimate region and instead found it with New TAR as a show of solidarity for the democratic governance of an active region.

Thank you for your time, if you have any questions please feel free to TG The Imperial Prelature of Imperium LondiniumThe Imperial Prelature of Imperium Londinium, the Vice President, who will provide you with more information.

The League of TIdes, supports any region that wishes to have a democratic rule of law. We will thoroughly analyze the situation with TAR to make the best decision, however I encourage the Leaders of New TAR to get in touch with Sentinel Runeto, he is incharge of all diplomatic relations

Hellow member Nations of the League of Tides. I am the People's Republic of Chini. I come because of a recommendation by your very Prime Minister, The Republic of AstesiaThe Republic of Astesia, to join this region.

Well, we are very glad you have chosen to join us here. We are quite the stellar bunch he at the League of Tides, but are unfortunately facing a bout of limited activity. Perhaps you could help us and lend your voice on issues or pose suggestions. Either way, welcome aboard.
