Will keep this flag for 1 week.

Such a tragedy.

Centuriana, your registration on our forum as an IDU member has been ratified.

The memory-stick on which (among other things) many all of my NS notes from the last 2½ years were stored has just ceased to function. Some of that material I can recover from elsewhere, e.g. from Imgurr or from various forums, but most of it (including about a year’s-worth of ‘update’ files to track the changes in my nations during that time) is probably completely lost… including : first drafts for three GA proposals that I hadn’t yet posted in the forums, first drafts for two Issues ditto, and the flag that I was working on for the Archipelago: Nova Sodor, please remove the ripple effect from your current designed-by-me flag so that I can make another copy of it from which to work.

That's terrible mate - so much work as well :-(

As Nova I'll remove the ripple.

Apparently subsidizing tourism caused my cheese industry to increase 11,020%. Mmmm cheese lol.

One reason why the IDU has a cheese festival!

I love cheddar - in fact I could gorge myself on it.

Cheddar is Trive 38's main cheese.

This is Cheddar Gorge where they make it - it's only about twenty miles down the road from where I live :-)

“Hrarroom!” (= “Greetings”), and a hearty "Welcome to the IDU", for Europe liberty and Kreath.

The region Eternal Scholars, the repeal of whose 'Liberation' the SC is currently voting on, has just been seized by Invaders: Please switch your votes to 'Against' (as at least two delegates of LARGE regions have already done...), so that those invaders' won't gain the ability to set a password there.

The C.D.S.P.'s terrain is more suited to goats than cows, so we get variations on that. Feta, Brie, and no small amount of Gouda.

Not that cows don't exist, but we have a lot of chilly, mountainous area in our north and east and a rocky desert to the south. Goats are just more efficient there. Decent cow pastures in the western midlands, though. We get more mild cheeses from there.

We have terrible land for wine grapes, so we don't really pair our cheeses with wines. We do have great barely and wheat climates, so we pair our cheeses with beer. And our meats with beer. And our beer with beer.

Separatists really like beer.

I envision Gnejs being goat country as well.

The schnauzerlands are so large in area and have so many different climates that there's literally room for everything--cheddar, Gouda, meunster, wines, beer, goats, cows, what have you......

Trive 38 wrote:Deutsch Separatist Republik?

It was designed a cultural fusion of the Pacific Northwest and Germany, but with a ton of coast.

We could probably manage to have a little of everything, but that might interfere with beer production. Maintaining hop horticulture to sustain a nationwide demand is very difficult, considering much of our agricultural land isn't suitable for it, being too dry for large-scale production. Stouts and porters tend to be more popular in our inland regions as a result. Malt-heavy lagers, too. Its very geographic, you see.

I suppose its a good thing its 2016. Still, I can't imagine the Confederate Dominion submitting to any foreign invasion. Thus the massive military budget.

Dead last for compassionate citizens. We don't coddle anybody, clearly.

Trivian current year is 2064.

Good question!

Gnejs and I are having a think about that very subject right now.
