On another note, Steenbergen is host to the 24 Hour Ultrarunning World, European and National Championships this weekend. An Olympic-style flag parade just walked by my house. Among others there were twenty-three Dutchmen, eightteen Americans, seventeen Brits, seventeen Japanese, thirteen Swedes, six Argentinians, two Greeks, two Icelanders and one Macedonian.
Running for twenty-four hours. That's about 250 kilometres if uninterrupted.
So now there is an athlete who can claim he won silver at Steenbergen in 2013?
