Well would you have any recommendations for a highschool freshman wanting to go into Graphic Design then?
We're having a big discussion on the nature of/existence of God. Some of you might be interested in following and participating with our new embassy!
Well my recommendation for any college student would be to take a wide range of classes that relate to your interests. Particularly if your focus is Art, i'd suggest taking other Art classes, like Art History, painting, and if your planning on doing Graphic defiantly take an animation class too.
I found that a lot of my art classes all provided important lessons that could apply to my artwork in another class and it's helpful for any artist to be well-rounded and at least have dappled in several different mediums to find their own groove. My various art history classes also had a profound effect on my work, and I wouldn't pass up the chance to take more art history classes if I could.
Better yet, major in the sciences and minor in design. You'll still probably learn enough with the minor in design + your own side gigs and projects to build up a decent portfolio/website by the time you graduate - and you'll then still have a degree that is worth the money you invested in it.

Stalker- Thanks. My school is pretty crappy when it comes to art classes, and it makes it a bit of a pain. Although, a community college near by offers some classes for high schoolers. I'll look into those.
Fredd- Would a major in something like say, computer science work as well? I've been looking at some 'ethical hacking' type of jobs in case an art career falls flat.
Computer science isnt a bad option. Not too long ago we had a glut of CS majors entering the job market in certain cities. Not sure if that is still true. You might want to check job market in your area.

Lol, i love how the polls have too many good answers. I think it's awesome crowley is king of hell here too.
