I started to play FIFA and then I fell asleep. when I woke up, the score was still 0-0. Great sport.

*Has totally never done that*

Be good, you. It's not nice to mock people's favorite sports. Even if you are right. ;)

Full disclosure: I'm a yank, but actually prefer football from across the pond :P Though still proud of my Seahawks...

HERESY!!!1one

This is inexcusable, sir! I challenge you to a duel. As the challenged party, you may choose the weapons.

How about a fine pair of Lyran Longswords :3

Wandy: I'm not in Argentina, I have talked to Franberry in the past, though (he does live in Argentina, IIRC).

UG: *High five for liking the Seahawks*

Stevid: The rules for American style football aren't that hard. It is cricket that is insanely hard to try to understand.

Cricket is actually very simple. Its just the terminology that can be confusing.

How can I not like them Lam :P Plus I can claim the credibility of having liked them during the dark days!

I still have a Brian Blades jersey!:D

I liked them during the dark days as well, UG. ;)

Badass Marsh! Can't say my history goes back as far, Blades being before my time and all, but I can still remember the latter days of Holgrem and that one pitiful year that was Jim Mora pretty well :P

I remember the dark days of the Pre-Holmgren area. I remember attending games in the Kingdome! What a terribly awesome place to go to a game.

United gordonopia

Didn't know you were from the northwest! You still up here? My dad was from Portland but used to come up every year for games at the Kingdome where he would be waaaaay up in the nosebleeds :P

I've been to the Kingdome as well, Marsh! *highfive*

I remember the pre-Holmgren era, as well.

I just moved away from the PNW because of my job, but I lived the vast majority of my life there. I still remember crying over the Kingdome when I watched KIRO live coverage of it being demo'd.

United gordonopia

Where in PNW? Seattle, Portland, somewhere else?

I lived in Bremerton, worked at PSNS.

United gordonopia

Ah, cool. Parents are from Bainbridge Island, though not exactly the usual rich white folk from there :P

Some footie games are boring, sometimes you know it just by looking at the fixture (E.g. Norwich vs Hull... YAWN).

But where American Football captivates a nation, FIFA Football captivates the World.

Captures plenty in the US as well :P World Cup was actually a real thing this year, even after we got knocked out. Plus, there's a couple cities that legitimately are into it. Walk around Seattle and you'll see TONS of kits, both European and for the Sounders. Hell, Sounders matches pull 38,000 regardless of who we're playing, and for real big matches against our main rivals they open the full stadium and get 60,000+. Been to multiple regular season games with 67, 68000 people there...

Norwich games are always interesting because you can watch the local players struggling to hide their, uh, unique Norwich features.

I still find that 7-1 lost to a non-league team frickin' funny as hell.

That's why I love the FA Cup. I'll never forget Havent & Waterlooville holding the mighty Liverpool to a draw for the replay at Anfield only to scrape a 5-2 win to get knocked out by Barnsley!!

Sorry about yesterday, Gord. Go Cowboys!

Stevid: The big irony is that I play in the British University American Football League for the Glasgow Tigers :p
