Just to clarify, for new nations, if you see a plot of land and want it modified in a way that doesn't affect existing claims, that's doable. Just TG Moka and Morrdh with your claim and any additional info they need.

The military government in which only veterans are allowed to vote that is based on a warrior ethos and was forged in a revolution against a republican government. The Irish could be wrong.
no the irish is right. I am working on a bled of Irish and Scottish. just not the fascist part. Everyone else has all the same rights as is america, it is just considered that a person must show they are willing to serve and protect. Show they have virtue(hence the name) before they are allowed to vote or hold office. They must serve in the miltary for two years. The federal government is actually quite small. And we do not got to war that often with other, just ourselves mostly.
The whole idea is taken from a book series a dessert called peace by tom kratman.
The whole voting thing is a take off from eople are dumb and will simply vote themselves stuff and lead to a ruin in the country
I think may go back to the old idea of simply hiring my armed forces out as mercaneries. that would be interesting.

The idea of a democracy limited to veterans was also "explored" in Starship Troopers (the book).

Personally, I think that the service period for the troops should be four years of active duty. That would give them a year to a year and a half (depending on what their military duty assignment is) to train, and then the rest of the time would be spent using the skills that they acquired during training. Then you can have them come back for periodic refresher training (say 2 weeks per year), until they reach a certain age, with exemptions if they are in particularly important occupations (to be decided by the government).
