Heh. Anyway, fun time here, stayed longer than I intended. Time to wander on though!
Thanks for the chat, and hope you'll build an embassy with 10000 Islands
Hello Gay,
Greetings from Forest! If you have not done so already, we trees encourage you to vote AGAINST the current Security Council Proposal, Repeal "Liberate Eternal Scholars".
This repeal was originally meant to allow the natives of the region of Eternal Scholars to regain control of their home. However, the region was recently invaded by raiders, and now, if the resolution passes, it will enable the raiders to set a password and destroy the region. Although it originally had good intentions, this resolution would now end up helping the raiders.
The tide is already turning as more and more people realise and change their vote. We encourage, specifically your delegate but also all WA members, to also vote against in hopes that Eternal Scholars can become free.

For anyone in this region to vote FOR the recent Secuirty Council Proposal is denying a region its rights to govern. For such nice people, I never thought one could be so cruel. So vote AGAINST current Security Council Proposal, Repeal "Liberate Eternal Scholars". region of Eternal Scholars.
A few random thoughts after catching up on the RMB:
This region is indeed a safe haven, but let's not use that as a weapon to curtail the right of free speech. In the recent past, I have pleaded for "constructive engagement" instead of bickering, but apparently some of you have not gotten the memo. Let's never forget each person in the region is of ultimate worth. Even when we disagree adamantly on certain points, let's keep to our inside voices. Suppression of posts is primarily designed to remove the raving of trolls from our fair RMB. It obviously is possible for members to step over the line and say something so heinous that it merits suppression, but that should be (and is) quite rare. Some of the conversation over the past day or so has certainly left me uncomfortable. Can we please avoid that? I have no issue with people's disagreeing--in such a large region with so many powerful personalities involved, it's inevitable, but every post should reflect the respect with which we should all have towards everyone in this region. Let's leave the tearing down crap to all the haters outside of this region.
The situation in Gay Equality is tragic. While white gay men are still a numerical majority in this region, we are so infinitely better for having the fellowship and insights of the rest of the colours of the rainbow! Perhaps it would be helpful if some of our lesbians and Aces in particular would create clones for semi-permanent residency there, people who could and would engage some of the benighted perspectives apparently running rampant in GE.
Regarding nomenclature: I am reminded that certain segments of persons of colour are offended by certain titles, not just older, derogatory ones like n****r, coloured, spearchucker, etc., but also more modern terms like African-American, Afro-American, black, person of colour, racial minority, etc. You can't please everyone at the same time. If a certain individual says they don't like a certain term, don't use it for them or in front of them, but in absence of a consensus position, use the best terminology you know that avoids directly insulting someone.
There is plenty more to say, but it's after 2 AM local time and the bed is loudly calling for my presence. ;)

For some odd reason, the WA page is not letting me withdraw or change my vote. I've never seen this happen before. Is it possible that after a certain period of time, a vote is locked in and cannot be changed or do y'all think that NS is just being buggy again?
Try clearing your browser history and then go back on Nationstates.
I did and it worked! Thanks!
No problem! Always here for the fellow nations!
Your region is talking on our RMB. Is your nation name based on the Latin word pueros, an accusative plural form of boy
Just letting y'all know that a friend of mine through NationStates, The land of a great perhaps, has founded a new region, Rainbow Region. As far as I know, it's for LGBTQ+ people who are struggling with mental health issues or coming out to parents. It might be good to have an embassy with them. Maybe some members of Gay would like to stop by Rainbow Region some time; it's up to you.
Is it accusative? My friend told me it just meant boys. My apologies if it is bad, I had no idea..
I don't think it's bad
