This entire region is Gay.

I was in the Crossroads Mall a few hours before the stabbings/shootings and seeing the pictures of the entrance I came in/out of on the news right now is making me feel really sick on the inside.

It's used for password resets and other admin uses. Don't worry, we don't email members. Use an anonymous email address if you're concerned.

(Regarding this whole topic) I think the word 'queer' has been sufficiently reclaimed that it's generally okay for people to use to describe themselves or LGBT people (e.g. Ezra Miller). Just don't set out to use it intentionally to offend.

That would be very upsetting, but so glad you weren't there at the time! Whew!

There might be some stronger drinks in the Chambers of the Chief Justice. Maybe. Possibly.... ;)

There is an interesting school of thought that we should be using "queer" to describe ourselves more often deliberately because it makes straight people feel uncomfortable.

In principle I think it would be great if everyone could use their own word: fans of "queer" could use that, whereas people who don't like the word could pick something else. But in reality it's better to have a unifying word as it shows group solidarity. We don't split ourselves into factions of "gay", "lesbian", "bisexual", "transgender", "asexual" etc. We're all just queer, no matter which subgroup we belong to. Factioning only weakens the group.
Queer is also quite good for obscure minorities like me, a biromantic asexual. My identity is complicated and it often requires explanation. Gays can say they're gay, bisexual's can say they're bi, but I have to spew a whole mouthful. There isn't any catchy, well-known slang term for a biromantic asexual. So queer is a good and quick alternative to giving someone a vocab lesson every time I come out.
On the other hand, if you don't like the word queer, don't use it! No one should force it on you. The whole point of the LGBTQ+ liberation movement is to be able to be yourself without other people forcing their values on you. :)

    So, regarding the poll:

Just how many of these potential technological advances would really be feasible?

The smart devices all talking to each other would never happen. That would require a unified standard for smart products which none of the companies currently making said products have shown any interest in doing... in fact if you buy smart home products you even run the risk of them suddenly ceasing to work when the company that runs them either goes out of business or gets swallowed up by a larger company.

A girl in my grade at school was actually there and got stabbed. She's pregnant, and I hope she and the baby are okay.

This whole situation makes me freaked out. Thinking about how bad it would've been if that off-duty cop wasn't walking the mall. This could've been a huge travesty, and I missed it by only hours.

Quite a few imo, just I don't believe that any will become the next iphone or whatnot.

I don't have any of these things and I don't need them.

Welcome (back) to Gay, Trevor philips enterprise, Mutualist isles, Nonayabiz, and Lumansi!!!

I personally take pleasure that the members of Gay are so poorly Authoritarian. The leading nation just has 5+, no one is in the 4s, four nations have 3+, three nations have 1+, eleven nations are 1+, the great majority of the region have between 0 and 1, and 18 have exactly zero Stalins! In NS as a whole, the top 203 nations have 14.55, which is apparently as high as the rating goes (and 0 is as low as it goes). As a region, Gay is ranked 10,751st in the world for Most Authoritarian out of 152,455 regions (as I write this).

Heck, that's truly awful. I hope both of them are alright. Do we know the motive of the stabbing yet?
