Even though it's a game, I really got to hand it down to Ace Attorney for making these quotes. I don't want to say a video game saved me or anything, but it certainly did involve a new perspective I should take in life.

Why does making it compulsory to learn other languages in schools have a negative effect on my civil rights?

Very jealous of you. I followed the same general path, and unfortunately graduate schools have uniformly decided that I will not be joining them in the near future.
