Loading...Actually on second thoughts we do need a new flag. That flag hold a symbol of Aretism, a central tenant of which is meritocracy.
It has less than no place in this region as it stands. Pick whatever you want an upload it and spare us the children's craft games.

2 days left in the vote, and if you're changing your stance it's 1-1 for keep/abolish along with 1 spoilt ballot :p
NS works as a democracy as long as the founder ALLOWS it to.
Seeing as we don't even know who the hell you are, forgive me if my expectations are somewhat low...

Nobody so far has tried to make the region into anything, even with my occasional prodding. We had a very short lived delegate, as nobody seems to want the job.
I open up the region to all with the flag thing, not one person cared enough to contribute a flag. After a further week of voting to keep or abolish our flag, only three nations responded.
And just before I close that vote, I guess that democracy gives me myself a vote as well. I vote to abolish. Voting closes, 2 in favour of abolishment and 1 in favour of keeping.
Democracy in action :)
I said democracy works as long as the founder allows it, not that you were or weren't either way. My point is that it is voting under the sufferance of a dictator and this is true of all regions- it is the nature of the powers the founder can exercise.
Longer term residents are, as the rmb may have suggested to you, unwilling to 'make' the region into anything without a degree of transparency, or at least respect. If you're a long term resident you should know how we feel and do some communication. You may find a little more support and effort materialises.
The del powers are turned off and from memory the original wfe said 'want to be delegate? Good luck finding endorsements' or some such- I would question the point of being wad and draw attention to the original character of Ether.

A non executive WAD cannot:
Eject anyone
Change the WFE (so not able to set up an offsite forum etc)
Suppress any messages
Place a password on the region
With the exception of the second one the above actions are intrinsically linked to the security/well being of the region
Whilst you remain the sole custodian of these controls GT any attempt to forge a community here is subject to your whims - hardly an incentive eh?

Also pretty sure I mentioned that if the delegate requests I change the WFE, I would do so ASAP. I suppose suppressions count too.
As for a password, I see no reason why we would ever need one. Unless someone tried to eject everyone and block anyone else from joining... which is course is the reason that the controls are off.
Should there be any particular reason for a nation to be ejected/banned then again I answer to the delegate on that one.
And yes Technophage, exactly. It did used to say "good luck". It was meant in a wishful way but it annoyed me how I thought it seemed a tad sarcastic which is why it was edited to it's current form.
So pretty much little is subject to my whims. If our region ever goes anywhere, I will participate solely as a different nation and keep my usage of this one to the outline I laid out in this post.
OK, let me be more explicit. If we are ever going to move Ether beyond where we're at now you need to talk to us. TG us who you are, 'cause I'll tell you now, the defender association puts me right off. People think they're the 'good guys' but they don't give half a crap about who gets hammered in the crossfire, they're upholding their principles, not the region being attacked.
Give out a little honesty and we can move on. Personally I hate this crap- I love spamming boards and this endless topic is sh!tting me to tears. But it will be endless, simply because if I'm going to bother putting effort somewhere it's not gonna be without knowing who's got the button in reach, regardless of how it's disavowed at present.
Exercise the leadership role you have been given, and together we can all make Ether a more entertaining place to be.
